FAST FOOD NEWS: Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s Baby Back Rib Burger

Carl s Jr Hardee s Baby Back Rib Burger

Update: We reviewed it! Click here to read our review.

You couldn’t see me, but moments ago I was standing up and applauding Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s new Baby Back Rib Burger. Just when I think they’re running out of ideas, the sister fast food chains drop this onto our laps and splash barbecue sauce everywhere.

The Baby Back Rib Burger features real, boneless, baby back ribs from Bubba’s-Q Boneless Ribs that are charbroiled and dipped in Cattleman’s Original BBQ Sauce. The burger also comes with a charbroiled beef patty, crispy onion strings, and pickles on a premium, brioche-style bun.

The burger is available for a limited time at participating locations nationwide on April 26.

If you try it, come back here and let us know what you think of it in the comments.

  1. Just for once, could they maybe offer the sandwich for less without a burger added? I’d rather have a Hardee’s/CJ style McRib for maybe $3-4.

Hardee’s….putting random slabs of meat on top of a burger patty since 2010 (or earlier?)

  2. Tried this monster today. The rib itself was surprisingly good. Tender and savory. I don’t know how that Bubba (he was on shark tank pitching these things) did it, but if I see the ribs in the store, I will definitely pick some up. I’d give the overall burger a 5/10. All of the components were good on their own, but really needed something to cut through the richness.

I got a single burger for $6.19 and it was plenty.

  3. False advertising. The picture makes it appear that the rib portion is close to the size of the burger. In reality the rib portion is only about an inch and a half wide. I asked if there was a mistake and they replied “I know, sorry, would you like to order something else?” Argh

    1. There’s enough meat on this thing. And it’s not a ground and formed fake patty – it’s real meat. It may be hard to get some in every bite, but I think it’s about the right amount overall.

  4. It’s a rip off… I tried it from 2 different Carl’s Jr and was disappointed in both burgers. Th biggest issue was the size of the rib portion… About the size of a half filler and a bbq out 1/4 inch thick. Extremely disappointed….

  5. I posted a picture on fb of your Baby Back Rib Burger. And what I actually got. False advertising. I got a hamburger patty with some bbq sauce on it. 1 onion rings on bottom bun I had to look for.
