Arby’s has added a new limited time only addition to their Sliders lineup — the Pizza Slider.

The Pizza Slider had 300 calories, 17 grams of fat, 6 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 35 milligrams of cholesterol, 930 milligrams of sodium, 23 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, 2 grams of sugar, and 13 grams of protein.

But if the Pizza Slider is a bit too small for you, Arby’s is also now offering sandwiches that are on the opposite extreme.

The chain’s new Half Pound Roast Beef Sandwiches are some of their classic sandwiches, but with a half-pound of meat.

There’s the Half Pound Roast Beef Sandwich with eight ounces of roast beef in between a sesame seed bun with Horsey Sauce and Arby’s Sauce; the Half Pound French Dip & Swiss features the meat plus Swiss cheese on a sub roll with a side of au jus for dipping; and finally there’s the Half Pound Beef ‘n Cheddar that has cheddar cheese sauce and red ranch sauce on an onion bun with the roast beef.

With the Roast Beef and Beef ‘N Cheddar Sandwiches, Arby’s also offers them in Classic and Double sizes. To give you an idea of how much of a difference there is between them and the half-pound version. I asked Siri to convert the original Roast Beef Sandwich’s serving weights from grams to ounces.

A classic Roast Beef Sandwich is 5.43 ounces, a double is 8.43 ounces, and the half-pound version is 10.41 ounces.

Thanks, Siri!

The Half Pound Beef ‘N Cheddar has 740 calories, 39 grams of fat, 14 grams of saturated fat, 2 grams of trans fat, 130 milligrams of cholesterol, 2530 milligrams of sodium, 48 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of fiber, 9 grams of sugar, and 49 grams of protein.

  1. The pizza slider is new but the half pound, double and classic aren’t new. These are just the new names for the small, mid and max roast beef sandwiches they’ve always had.

    1. Note: The MAX size has been 7 oz, not 8, but where I live, when I ordered the Half-Pound Max combo… the meat on my sandwich only weighed 5.5 oz…. If they “HAVE THE BEEF” they’re certainly rationing it.. and screwing their bottom line.

    1. It’s amazing. They call it Red ranch, but it’s more equated to a sweet & tangy than anything ranch ?

  2. Yeah the half pound roast beef sandwich was called The Big Montana back in the day. And the red ranch sauce tastes kinda like Catalina dressing, I’d always order extra on the super roast beef, before they phased it out after a worker sliced off a bit of his thumb while cutting the lettuce for the sandwich and didn’t fish it out so a customer ate some of it. lol

    1. Slicers have resulted in some interesting condiments, but I very much doubt such an incident resulted in a sandwich being discontinued, particularly given that lettuce is still on their menu.

If a particular restaurant or franchisee decided to remove lettuce over one incident, it would also seem odd to “phase it out” instead of removing it immediately. I’d also find it odd just to remove just one sliced ingredient. Arby’s wouldn’t be what they are without their slicing.

Sounds very much like a common urban legend born out of coincidental timing or boredom.

    2. Nobody sliced off their finger tip cutting lettuce!!! You can still get Super Sandwiches and chicken sandwiches with plenty of lettuce on either option!!!

  3. I wonder if the red ranch is the same as what used to come on the super deluxe roast beef. It was like lettuce tomato and a red sauce kinda like sweet and sour

  4. I feel I need to respond. The red ranch is the same that’s always been on the Beef and Cheddars. They still have the Supers, but they just don’t advertise them anymore. As with the sandwiches, this is a little new. They aren’t just names. The classic was 3 oz, the mid was 5, the Max 7. Now the double is 6 oz, and the Half pound is 8oz. Also the beef and cheddar ones get an extra shot of cheese on each sandwich.

  5. I just tried the Pizza Slider today and really liked it! The marinara sauce was tasty, but there may have been a bit too much of it on mine which made the sandwich messy to eat. I will definitely get it again, though!

  6. OK, I’ll do some math…Roast beef sandwich is 5.43oz, they have a double at 8.43 oz and then an 10.41oz half pounder… No wonder no one can figure simple math??? ?
(5.43 x 2 = 10.86; one pound use to equal 16 oz, so half a pound should be 8 oz? Am I missing something?)

    1. Simple, weigh the meat, not the entire sandwich! the “half-pounder” is supposedly 8 oz, although thus far I’ve NEVER gotten my “advertised” 8 oz. Let’s try 5.5 oz… That sound fair Arby’s? It’s the truth, I weigh the meat to see whether I’d be shorted and I was. Coweta, Oklahoma Arby’s, shame on you!
