I finally found all 3 boxes on ebay to try and I agree cheeseburger was unique and shoulda won!
Have 3 boxes of these. Never saw any contest flavors before. This, cheeseburger and what else?
I understand hating when your favorite doesn’t win, but I really hate when it does then gets discontinued (looking at you, Lay’s)!

But Cheeseburger was easily the best flavor….I don’t understand…
The voting process was a bit of a sham operation anyway. You could literally votespam unlimited times for the flavor you liked (I put in a solid 100 for the cheeseburger, I’m not even gonna lie). I have little doubt that some people coded up ways to automate voting and tilted things in one flavor’s favor. Either that or corporate stepped in once the results were considered and just said “you know we know what the public likes more and that’s clearly pizza!”.
The cheeseburger flavor was insidiously good. Easily the best Cheez-it flavor in years (if not ever). When I had my first crack at them, I couldn’t quite put it together as to what they reminded me of – then it hit me as I was mid-way through the box – McDonald’s burgers, but without the beef. I know that comparison is enough to put off people but I can’t come up with a better one.
