FAST FOOD NEWS: Burger King Sourdough King

Burger King Sourdough King

Update: We reviewed it! Click here to read our review.

Burger King has a new King. The Sourdough King, that is!

It features two 1/4 lb. flame-grilled beef patties, American cheese, thick-cut bacon, onion slices, and creamy signature sauce (a.k.a. tomato pepper sauce) on a soft sourdough bun.

The burger has 970 calories, 61 grams of fat, 24 grams of saturated fat, 3 grams of trans fat, 205 milligrams of cholesterol, 1640 milligrams of sodium, 52 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of fiber, 12 grams of sugar, and 55 grams of protein.

But if you’re looking at the numbers above and saying “nope,” the burger is also available with a single beef patty. That has 730 calories, 43 grams of fat, 16 grams of saturated fat, 1.5 grams of trans fat, 1570 milligrams of sodium, and 35 grams of protein.

If you’ve tried it, let us know what you think of it in the comments.

  1. I really enjoyed the single sandwich, however I would definitely go without the sauce next time. I like the sourdough bread instead of a hamburger bun, and with the bacon it’s pretty good. I will definitely be ordering it again!

  2. OMG, it’s like the burger from the Shaq pack from the 2000’s! Anyone else remember that? It was one of my favorite fast food items ever, along with McDonald’s shaker salads, and Chick-Fil-A’s old side salads! I will definitely have to get one. Just get the single version and add lettuce and tomato, and I think it will be just like the older version. This is the most excited about fast food that I think I’ve ever been in my life, lol.

  3. I LOVEEEEEE the burger omg! Next time I will say go light on the sauce.. it has a good taste but with sauce being on the top and bottom it took away the taste of the burger and my favorite the bacon. In DJ Esco voice THATS TOO MUCH SAUCE.. but I love the burger tho! Keep it around I especially love the sourdough instead of a bun! That should be an option for the entire menu (sourdough bread) I’m sure a whopper would be bomb on sourdough bread!
