SPOTTED ON SHELVES: Trader Joe’s Hot Cocoa Organic Frosted Toaster Pastries

Trader Joe s Hot Cocoa Organic Frosted Toaster Pastries

Not the most appetizing toaster pastry box image I’ve seen. It looks like a leather wallet. (Spotted by Rachel C at Trader Joe’s.)

  1. Interesting. But should had done a marshmallow filling too. Hope they incorporated a marshmallow element in the pastry

    1. They’re just “okay”. They also definitely are better toasted than “Raw”. The filling tastes like brownie batter, which is fine. But the pastry part is chocolate too, and the frosting is barely there. So it’s just a weird chocolate with what seems like raw brownie batter in the middle. They would have been a lot better if they had more frosting, some kind of sprinkles, and the toaster pastry portion was marshmallow flavored instead of chocolate. They just seem like they are missing something. They are not something I would feel compelled to buy again. I’d rather buy the mini PB cups, or the Choc Chip Mini cookies that come in the bucket if I was looking for a sweet to purchase. Also I do not eat these for breakfast. They’re more of a “snack food” cookie replacement type treat for me personally. I think they would be terrible for breakfast. You would most definitely be hungry again in no time.
