FAST FOOD NEWS: Burger King Chicken Parmesan Sandwiches

Burger King Chicken Parmesan Sandwiches 2019

Burger King’s Chicken Parmesan Sandwich is back, but this time it’s available with your choice of poultry protein — Crispy, Grilled, or Spicy Crispy.

Not sure how the Crispy one is different than the one we reviewed in 2017, but all three in the 2019 line have Italian-style marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, and shaved parmesan cheese on a toasted potato bun.

The Crispy has 580 calories, 25 grams of fat, 8 grams of saturated fat, 70 milligrams of cholesterol, 1440 milligrams of sodium, 59 grams of carbohydrates, 3 grams of fiber, 11 grams of sugar, and 32 grams of protein.

The Grilled version has 490 calories, 14 grams of fat, 6 grams of saturated fat, 120 milligrams of cholesterol, 1340 milligrams of sodium, 44 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of fiber, 11 grams of sugar, and 50 grams of protein.

The Spicy Crispy one has 610 calories, 26 grams of fat, 8 grams of saturated fat, 70 milligrams of cholesterol, 1510 milligrams of sodium, 62 grams of carbohydrates, 3 grams of fiber, 11 grams of sugar, and 35 grams of protein.

  1. I tried the spicy crispy version today for lunch and it was awful. The bun and the cheese were fine but the chicken was awful. The chicken had a good crunch and texture but the flavor tasted off. The spice lingered but not in a good way. And the poor quality tomato sauce did not help things. It was the first time I threw away a sandwich at Burger King after having a few bites.

    1. I had the exact same experience with the grilled version. There was a weird metallic taste and the chicken was tough. The cheese was tasteless and the sauce was only a step above ketchup. After eating three bites, into the trash it went.

  2. The sauce is flavorless, and unfortunately the cheese doesn’t bring much. The rest of the sandwich is good, but obviously in that case you’re just better off getting the regular version. Makes me miss the Italian Original Chickens.
