Arby’s has the meats and the treats.

Two of the treats you’ll find on its menu board this summer are the new Root Beer Float and returning Coke Float. The latest dessert/drink brings together Barq’s Root Beer with Arby’s vanilla shake, while the returning one combines Coca-Cola with Arby’s vanilla shake.

A 32-ounce order of the Root Beer Float has 630 calories, 12 grams of fat, 8 grams of saturated fat, 45 milligrams of cholesterol, 370 milligrams of sodium, 123 grams of carbohydrates, 0 grams of fiber, 118 grams of sugar, and 12 grams of protein.

A 32-ounce Coke Float has 600 calories, 12 grams of fat, 8 grams of saturated fat, 45 milligrams of cholesterol, 330 milligrams of sodium, 116 grams of carbohydrates, 0 grams of fiber, 111 grams of sugar, and 12 grams of protein.

Both beverages are available for a limited time at participating locations.

  1. Yuk. A float is made with soda and ice cream, not soda and an already-made shake.

    Why is Arby’s going to the extra work to make a shake first? (Or are their shakes some sort of fabricated mix?)

  2. Barqs root beer is disgusting by itself, this sounds like an awful combination.

    1. They carry Dr. Pepper, so you could just ask for that in there instead of root beer I imagine.
