COMING SOON: Kellogg’s Frosted A&W Root Beer and Frosted Crush Orange Pop-Tarts

Kellogg s Frosted A W Root Beer and Frosted Crush Orange Pop Tarts

Update: We reviewed A&W Root Beer Pop-Tarts! Click here to read our review.

The Kellogg Company has teamed up with the Dr Pepper Snapple Group to create Pop-Tarts inspired by two popular soda flavors — A&W Root Beer and Crush Orange. Sadly, no Dr Pepper Pop-Tarts yet.

The Frosted A&W Root Beer Pop-Tarts feature root-beer flavored filling in a golden crust that’s topped with white frosting and brown, red, and orange crunchlets. The Frosted Crush Orange Pop-Tarts have a citrus-flavored filling, white frosting, and orange icing.

The new flavors will be available nationwide next month.

COMING SOON: Hi-C Ecto Cooler

Ecto can and box combo copy

If you Google “list of discontinued foods we miss” and select any one of the search results, there’s a very good chance you’ll see a photo slideshow that you’ll have click through in order to see the entire list. There’s also a very good chance that the list will contain Hi-C Ecto Cooler.

For you really young people, Hi-C Ecto Cooler was a tie-in with the original Ghostbusters movies. The beverage was popular enough that it stuck around for years after Ghostbusters II hit theaters. Sadly, it was discontinued in 2001.

However, this summer, thanks to the new Ghostbusters movie, Hi-C Ecto Cooler is coming back for a limited time. It’ll be available in 10-packs of 6-ounce juice boxes and in 6- and 12-packs of 11.5-ounce aluminum cans. The exterior of the cans have thermal ink that turns slime green when the beverage is cold.

The sweet beverage will be hitting shelves on May 30, but if you can’t wait you can enter a sweepstakes to have a chance to win some before it’s available for purchase. To enter and learn more about it, you can go to Facebook.com/ectocool, Twitter.com/EctoCooler or learn more at www.ecto.cool.
