What a year it’s been for new limited edition Oreo cookies. The year started with Birthday Cake Oreo<\/a>, spring brought us Oreo Rainbow Shure-Bert<\/a>, and Nabisco recently released Candy Corn Oreo cookies<\/a>. It’s been an eventful 100th anniversary for the Oreo cookie. But Nabisco isn’t done. There’s now Limited Edition Lemon Twist Oreo.<\/p>\n

The sandwich cookie features Golden Oreo cookies with a lemon filling. <\/p>\n

If you’re an Oreo historian, you’d know Oreo once had a lemon variety in the 1920s, but it was quickly discontinued. There was also a lemon filling Oreo released in Japan<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Cookie Madness reviewed the new Lemon Twist Oreo<\/a> and then made a bad ass pound cake with it.<\/p>\n
