I remember when I could eat an entire can of Pringles in one sitting and the only consequence would be constipation. Today, if I were to eat an entire can of Pringles in one sitting not only would I have constipation, I would also increase my blood pressure and make it harder for me to fit into my waist 32 jeans. <\/p>\n<p>I also remember a time when I could eat an entire pint of Ben &#038; Jerry&#8217;s ice cream during a viewing of the movie <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Notebook_(film)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><i>The Notebook<\/i><\/a>. But thanks to the pints of ice cream I&#8217;ve consumed over the years, not only are my arteries clogged, but apparently so are my tear ducts, which makes it extremely hard to express my sadness through crying when Noah and Allie die peacefully together holding each other&#8217;s hand at the end of <i>The Notebook<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>Because of my ever-slowing metabolism, ever-expanding waistline and the ever-deepening indentation in my couch, I&#8217;ve been having to choose healthier snack choices and eating them in reasonable serving sizes. That&#8217;s why I&#8217;ve been eating these Popchips, which I&#8217;ve seen at every Jamba Juice I&#8217;ve been to. They&#8217;re all-natural potato chips and they contain no preservatives, artificial flavors, cholesterol, saturated fat and trans fat. What separates these from regular potato chips is that they aren&#8217;t fried.  Instead they&#8217;re &#8220;popped,&#8221; which according to the company involves applying heat and pressure to the potatoes until they pop.  The Popchips are slightly greasy, but that&#8217;s due to their use of safflower and sunflower oil in the seasoning.<\/p>\n<p>Popchips come in flavors for a variety of palates: original, barbeque, parmesan garlic, salt &#038; pepper, and sea salt &#038; vinegar.  I&#8217;ve tried every flavor and I enjoyed all of them.  My favorite out of the bunch was the parmesan garlic.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"http:\/\/rcm.amazon.com\/e\/cm?lt1=_top&#038;bc1=FFFFFF&#038;IS2=1&#038;bg1=FFFFFF&#038;fc1=000000&#038;lc1=0000FF&#038;t=theimpulsivbu-20&#038;o=1&#038;p=8&#038;l=as1&#038;m=amazon&#038;f=ifr&#038;asins=B001RVFDOO\" style=\"float:left;padding-right:10px;width:120px;height:240px;\" scrolling=\"no\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>Are they better tasting than regular fried potato chips? <\/p>\n<p>The short answer. <\/p>\n<p>No. <\/p>\n<p>The long answer that&#8217;s long due to too many adjectives. <\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s something about thin, round slices of potato placed in a huge, scalding oil bath that warps them into deformed, golden shapes that tastes so good and makes them extremely crunchy and crack-addictive, which the Popchips can&#8217;t match.<\/p>\n<p>They may not be addictive and as crunchy as regular potato chips, but they&#8217;re quite delectable and make Lays Baked Potato Chips, which was my previous guilt-free potato chip alternative, taste even more like cardboard.  I do wish I could find bags bigger than the one-ounce ones I can get from Jamba Juice because I finish the entire bag at around the 35 minute mark in <i>The Notebook<\/i>, when Noah and Allie are trying to make sweet, sweet love for the very first time but are interrupted by Noah&#8217;s friend.<\/p>\n<p><small>(Nutrition Facts &#8211; 1 bag &#8211; (some nutrition values varies between flavors) &#8211; 120 calories, 4 grams of fat, 0 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 0 milligrams of cholesterol, 250-310 milligrams of sodium, 20 grams of carbs, 1 gram of fiber, 0-2 grams of sugar, and 1 gram of protein.)<\/small><\/p>\n<p><b>Item:<\/b>  Popchips<br \/>\n<b>Price:<\/b>  FREE<br \/>\n<b>Size:<\/b>  1 ounce<br \/>\n<b>Purchased at:<\/b>  Given by nice PR people<br \/>\n<b>Rating:<\/b>  7 out of 10<br \/>\n<b>Pros:<\/b>  Delectable. Comes in a number of flavors.  <i>The Notebook<\/i>.<br \/>\n<b>Cons:<\/b>  Not as tasty or crunchy as regular potato chips. Hard to find bigger bags of it.
