Sonic Drive-In is now offering hot dogs in buttery croissant buns. Reader Brad sent in this photo from a Sonic location in Chicago. <\/p>\n

Their new Croissant Dogs are available in two varieties:<\/p>\n

Original<\/b> – A hot dog topped with just mustard.<\/p>\n

Bacon Double Cheddar<\/b> – A dog topped with chopped bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, a cheddar cheese sauce, and spicy mustard.<\/p>\n

It shouldn’t be surprising to see new buns from Sonic in June. In June 2013, the chain <\/a>introduced their Pretzel Dogs. And, last June, it was <\/a>their Cheesy Bread Dogs. So does anyone want to take a guess at what we’ll see in June 2016?<\/p>\n

The Original has 380 calories, 22 grams of fat, 9 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 35 milligrams of cholesterol, 1070 milligrams of sodium, 31 grams of carbohydrates, and 11 grams of protein. <\/p>\n

The Bacon Double Cheddar has 510 calories, 34 grams of fat, 15 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 55 milligrams of cholesterol, 1670 milligrams of sodium, 34 grams of carbohydrates, and 18 grams of protein.<\/p>\n
