What is Suja\u2019s Chocolate Organic Plant Protein Milk?<\/h3>\n

It\u2019s a dairy-free, plant-based chocolate milk that made using flax seeds, peas, and sunflowers. A cup provides 8 grams of protein, 4 grams of fiber, 30 percent of your daily calcium.<\/p>\n

How is it?<\/h3>\n

Whenever there\u2019s a new chocolate milk on the market \u2014 dairy or non-dairy \u2014 I like to <\/a>give it <\/a>a try, because chocolate milk makes me smile, and I want every one to reach that standard. But Suja\u2019s Chocolate Organic Plant Protein Milk doesn\u2019t. All I can think about is how I want to scratch out the word \u201cchocolate\u201d on the bottle and replace it with \u201cchalkolate.\u201d<\/p>\n

As you can probably guess, it\u2019s chalky. <\/p>\n

Look, I get it. It probably has to be that way since it\u2019s made with sunflower and flax seeds, which also helps give it four grams of fiber (16 percent of your daily recommended intake) per serving. But its chalkiness makes it seem more like chocolate-flavored medicine than milk.<\/p>\n

As for its flavor, it\u2019s okay. It\u2019s similar to other non-dairy chocolate milks. Cacao powder is used to give it its chocolatiness and it\u2019s sweetened with cane sugar and monk fruit. But I\u2019m so used to non-dairy milks being creamy, that its texture takes away from its flavor.<\/p>\n

Is there anything else I need to know?<\/h3>\n

Is it just me or does the leaf in Suja\u2019s logo look like an angry face or the face of someone who doesn\u2019t like the chalkiness of this non-dairy chocolate milk?<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re looking for a non-dairy, nut-free, soy-free, gluten-free, GMO-free, carrageenan-free, and vegan chocolate milk, then the Suja Chocolate Milk is a great option. But, again, I\u2019m looking for chocolate milk that makes me smile, and this doesn\u2019t do it for me.<\/p>\n
