What are Reese’s Thins?<\/h3>\n

New Reese\u2019s Thins are not Hershey\u2019s attempt at a \u201cdiet\u201d food.<\/p>\n

I was actually dumb enough to think that may have been the case for a second. A smarter person would have realized that these are simply thinner peanut butter cups.<\/p>\n

How are they?<\/h3>\n

\"Reese<\/p>\n

I\u2019d find it a bit disingenuous to whine about any Reese\u2019s Peanut Butter Cup. They\u2019re arguably the single greatest piece of candy on Earth, so you\u2019d probably roll your eyes if I went on a long diatribe about how baffled I am by Reese\u2019s Thins, right?<\/p>\n

Well, just<\/em> let me rant a little.<\/p>\n

These shouldn\u2019t exist.<\/h2>\n

Ok, that\u2019s a tad dramatic, they\u2019re still tasty enough, but Reese\u2019s Thins are a just Cliff\u2019s Notes of Reese\u2019s Cups.<\/p>\n

The ratio is off. Instead of that familiar gritty fluff of peanut butter, you just get a tiny layer sandwiched between overpowering chocolate. I don\u2019t want chocolate to be the star of a Reese\u2019s cup. Who eats Reese\u2019s Cup and thinks, \u201cI wish there was more chocolate?!\u201d<\/p>\n

The thinness makes these borderline crispy. I\u2019d equate the texture to a frozen version of regular Cups.<\/p>\n

Is there anything else you need to know?<\/h3>\n

It\u2019s not all boring. I couldn\u2019t help but think these would actually be perfect in s\u2019mores. I also appreciate the individual wrappers. They don\u2019t have that oily wax paper dressing like regular Cups. Every Thin I ate was clean with no chunks coming off on the paper.<\/p>\n

Conclusion:<\/h3>\n

You wouldn\u2019t want a hamburger patty sliced like cold cuts would you? That\u2019s my weird, probably nonsensical parallel here.<\/p>\n

Why buy a bag of flat candy bars with a bit of peanut butter inside when you can get actual Reese\u2019s Cups? Easter\u2019s coming up, get a bag of those little foil wrapped Reese\u2019s Cups if you want LESS Reese\u2019s Cup \u2013- at least they have the right peanut butter to chocolate ratio.<\/p>\n
