I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m a really big fan of comedian-singer Stephen Lynch<\/a>. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been a fan ever since I saw his Comedy Central special. <\/p>\n

Lynch is known for his well-crafted songs, which will make you laugh, and sometimes they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll also make you wince and grimace. <\/p>\n

If you don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t like songs about superheroes, best friends, Dungeons & Dragons, the Special Olympics, foreign taxi drivers, killing kittens, ulgy newborn babies, or priests who REALLY like altar boys, Stephen Lynch may not be for you.<\/p>\n

Recently, he released a live performance DVD called, Live at the El Rey<\/i> and it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s much better than the Comedy Central special. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s better because unlike basic cable television, with DVDs there are no FCC regulations. <\/p>\n

As inmate #55170-054<\/a> in West Virginia would say, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a good thing.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n

Besides his live performance, the DVD also contains the mandatory bonus material, which consists of more performances in other comedy clubs, skits, and a video tour diary. One of the great things about the DVD is the abundance of previously unreleased material. There are six songs on the DVD that weren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t released on Lynch\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s two albums, A Little Bit Special<\/i><\/a> and Superhero<\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now comedians like Lynch, Adam Sandler, and Jimmy Fallon, inspired me at one point in my life to become a singing comedian. Unfortunately, there were some slight problems with that idea. (1) I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t own a guitar. (2) I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know how to play guitar. (3) I have a tremendous fear of speaking in front of people. (4) Whenever I attempt to sing, my voice cracks like I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m going through puberty again.<\/p>\n

However, before I realized that I didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have a musically inclined bone in my body, I actually ended up writing a song. Below was my attempt at comedic stardom.<\/p>\n

\nI\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m nervous, afraid, and not of your league.
\nCould you be the woman of my dreams?<\/p>\n

I slide across the room to get a closer view.
\nIt took awhile because I had more than a few.
\nI sit so close that I could smell her perfume,
\nShe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s got to be the hottest babe in the room.<\/p>\n

What\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s your name? What\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s your sign?
\nOr shall I just use some lame pickup line.
\nBut when you turn around and look my way,
\nI try hard to keep in the feelings I want convey.<\/p>\n

I thought I would be your Romeo, and you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d be my Juliet.
\nMy beer goggles hid from me a face I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d like to forget.
\nYou were good from a far, but far from good,
\nMy beer goggles made me think you could,
\nBe the one I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been searching for all my life,
\nBut your breath doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t smell quite right.<\/p>\n

Your fake eyelashes look like Venus Fly Traps,
\nIs that hair coming out from between your rack?
\nYour three nipples are pointing in different directions.
\nAre you scratching because of STDs or yeast infections?<\/p>\n
