For that reason, I\u2019m bucking my recent review trend and will be giving you my expert insight on \u2026 oh wait, forget what I just said, I\u2019m reviewing Toy Story-themed cookies.<\/p>\n The only thing I\u2019m bucking is my toy horse. Ride like the wind, Bullseye!<\/p>\n I\u2019ll try to review \u201cadult\u201d food next time. I won\u2019t steer you wrong. You\u2019ve got a friend in me.<\/p>\n Anyway, Chips Ahoy Exclamation Point has a new Pixar collab to celebrate the release of Toy Story 5. I haven\u2019t seen it yet, but I\u2019m of course a fan of the series. You\u2019d have to be a soulless heathen not to be. If you are wondering what my Pixar picks are, here\u2019s my top 5:<\/p>\n 5. Coco<\/p>\n 4. Wall-E<\/p>\n 3. Up<\/p>\n 2. Monsters, Inc.<\/p>\n 1. Toy Story 3<\/p>\n Now, if you want to know where Chips Ahoy slots on my cookie rankings, here\u2019s my top 342:<\/p>\n 342. Chips Ahoy!<\/p>\n \u2026<\/p>\n Yeah, I like to give Chips Ahoy a hard time, but I\u2019m still always a sucker for more, and these sounded good. They have a graham cookie base \u201cpacked with white fudge chips, colorful candy-coated chips, and star-shaped sheriff badge sprinkles.\u201d<\/p>\n Did they taste good? Well, I gotta say, they nailed the Toy Story theme, because they certainly tasted Woody!<\/p>\n Nah, they\u2019re as decent as you\u2019d expect a blue bag of Chips Ahoy cookies to be.<\/p>\n I like the graham cookie base. The flavor isn\u2019t far off from regular Chips Ahoy, but I think it\u2019s superior. The cookie\u2019s texture might be marginally better here too. There\u2019s a stickiness to the bite that lands between a typical sandy Chips Ahoy and those cafeteria classic Linden\u2019s Butter Crunch cookies.<\/p>\n I don\u2019t like the candy-coated chips. The shells are thick and crispier than mini M&M\u2019s, and they don\u2019t have enough flavor to warrant how deeply embedded in your molars they get.<\/p>\n They lazily attempt to tie in Woody\u2019s sheriff badge as sprinkles, but those are also too hard and barely noticeable on the beige cookie. The entire Toy Story color palette barely pops on these at all.<\/p>\n The white fudge chips are pointless. They taste like \u201csweet.\u201d It\u2019s not even a flavor. There\u2019s chocolate under the candy-shelled pieces, but these really lack a chocolate punch. Lose the shells and let the star sprinkles be the crunch element. The white fudge could have been marshmallow bits to just make this the s\u2019mores cookie you\u2019re gonna wish they were.<\/p>\n Don\u2019t even bother with the \u201ccandy\u201d shell unless you stamp the name \u201ccANDY\u201d on the bottom of every cookie. Ya know, for synergy!<\/p>\n They\u2019re mid \u2013 on par with a standard blue bag of Chips Ahoy, which are eternally mid. In the end, I found the general Toy Story concept a little uninspired too. These won\u2019t have any buzz. \u2026 um, but as far as cookie releases, it has been a light year, so maybe? Nah to both that thought and that forced reference.<\/p>\n I would have preferred Chewy Chips Ahoy, but these did taste much better dipped in coffee.<\/p>\n See, I drink coffee. I am an adult.
