SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 5/15/2013

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. If you’ve tried any of the products, share your thoughts about them in the comments.

Jif Whips

I’m not 100 percent sure about this, and I’m too lazy to Google it, but didn’t Jif once offer whipped peanut butter prior to these Jif Whips. Also, I’m not sure if it’s the product itself or the word “whips”, but I’m kind of excited about Jif Whips. (Spotted by Jamie at Walmart.)

Jif Cashew Butter

Jif Almond Butter

Jif Cashew Butter AND Jif Almond Butter? It appears Jif has been really busy with their nuts. (Spotted by Kayla at Walmart.)

Tastykake Cinnamon Rolls

“Welcome to the 20th century, Tastykake!” said Cinnabon. (Spotted by Adam at Walmart.)

Honey Maid Teddy Grahams Strawberry Banana and Apple

Honey Maid Teddy Grahams made with real fruit? How about making Teddy Grahams made with real teddies so I squeeze them and then eat them. (Spotted by Deanna at Walmart.)

  1. Those Jif almond & cashew butter spreads sound yummy, but at almost $10 for a 12 ounce jar, I think I’ll stick to good old peanut butter.

  2. $9.57 for a jar of almond/cashew butter?!! Come on really?! I could find it cheaper.

The tastykake cinnamon rolls doesn’t look that good.

  3. The prices for those (likely over-processed ) Jif products are ludicrous. You can find good basic almond and cashew butters cheaper elsewhere.

  4. Technically Cashews aren’t nuts, they are legumes.

    (it’s a 3rd rock reference, sorry)

    1. I saw the Lean Cuisines in the latest Target ad and I saw something about Smart Ones oatmeal. They all look interesting.

  5. The Tasticake buns are awful. Entenman’s are awful, too. Can’t someone other than Dolly Madison and Cinnabon make a decent cinnamon roll?
