SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 10/17/2013

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. If you’ve tried any of the products, share your thoughts about them in the comments.

Hey, Chuck E. Cheese! You’re Chuck E. Cheese, not Chuck E. Chicken. Because after playing around in your entertainment area, kids mostly upchuck cheese. (Spotted by Dubba at Walmart.)

These Strawberry Shortcake Goldfish Grahams look spotted…or have extra eyes! (Spotted by Dubba at Walmart.)

Thanks to these new Kraft dressings, I learned Kraft is actually J.L. Kraft and J.L. stands for James Lewis. I also found out he was born in Stevensville, Ontario in Canada to Mennonite parents. Then I learned the Mennonites are a Christian group based around the church denominations named after Menno Simons of Friesland. Then I read about how Friesland is not where French fries were invented. (Spotted by Jeff at Walmart.)

I could grab these Limited Edition Sara Lee Apple Pie Bagels from the bread aisle at my local grocery store, or I could walk to the store bakery 10 feet away and buy a real apple pie. (Spotted by Yuna at Target.)

Buttered popcorn-flavored rice snacks? Finally, something that sounds much worse than buttered popcorn-flavored jelly beans. (Spotted by Adam at Safeway.)

Maybe my eyes are deceiving me, but those Pepperidge Farm Bake at Home breads look like they’re already baked. (Spotted by Adam at Safeway.)
