BACK ON SHELVES: Limited Edition Birthday Cake Golden Oreo Cookies (2025)

It’s back! Click here for our review from over a decade ago. Oh my goodness. This site is old. Not as old as Oreo, but still old. (Spotted by Robbie at Walmart.)

If you’re out shopping and see new products, snap a picture of them, and send them in via an email ([email protected]) with where you found them and “Spotted” in the subject line. Also, if you want to send in photos and are wondering if we’ve already covered something or if they’re new, don’t worry about it. Let us worry about it.

Are you redoing the website/blog? New look, new background, new font, and the “comment” section is a bit different. Maybe it’s only on my screen.

    1. Yeah, had to switch the look because there’s an issue with the old one. Not sure if the site will be going back to the old one.

Is there going to be a way to see if a post has comments? I liked the old feature because I don’t want to click on every post and see if it has comments.

        1. I’m trying to figure that out.

          1. I appreciate that info. It’s been awhile since I’ve had to do some messing with code for the site. In the past that ended up with me breaking the site somehow.

Oh, lord. This is a really different look, and I absolutely hate change, lol.

I did see your comment, Marvo. I hope it is possible to switch back to the old look eventually, but if not, I’ll get used to this.

    1. Oh, I hate change too. I think the site’s old look was around for about a decade, and I was happy with it. But maybe it’s the universe telling me that about a decade is too long.

This design is so wide. Is there a modern layout that’s maybe more compact?

      So wide on… what device?

This is the “new” default “Twenty Twenty-Five” WordPress theme, and it should be device responsive. That is to say, it should be adaptive to how it gets displayed on different devices.

Or @Marvo might consider another theme instead? Maybe even one which has out of the box support for integration of using the comments_number() function.

      1. Elizabeth

Yeah, I think Marvo needs to figure out how to add comment numbers to each post again. It is annoying to have to go to every post and click on it to see if there are comments.

          I’m sure he will.

I posted another reply with some more detailed information on how to proceed but since it has URLs in the post, it will need to be manually approved. It’s all pretty standard WordPress stuff.

Or he can keep it private if he prefers that route, so long as any of it proves useful.
