I’m pondering if Pepsi used Poppi patents to pop these out, since Pepsi purchased Poppi during the previous year. (Spotted by Rene B at FoodMaxx.)

Sounds like Olipop, too. I picked up a 4-pack of lemon-lime Olipop at Ollie’s this weekend. It tasted a little different from other brands of lemon-lime sodas (f.ex. Sprite, 7-Up), but the probiotic/prebiotic content helped to settle my stomach while consuming meals on vacation which aren’t typically part of at-home cuisine.
Poppi does not have any patents.
If you watched Shark Tank you would know that there is nothing proprietary about Poppi so they cannot obtain a patent for the concept. There really are not enough prebiotics in these to make much of a difference for most people and these aren’t as healthy as the alternatives so I wonder how long they will last?
