There are also Original and Roasted Garlic flavors of this Nissin Top Ramen Bachan’s Japanese Barbecue Sauce Ramen. All are exclusive to Walmart. I’ve never experienced Bachan’s Japanese Barbecue Sauce. Thank goodness I don’t have a bachan that was the bachan behind a popular sauce because if she found out I didn’t try her sauce, she would bachop my head. (Spotted by Rene B at Walmart.)

Bachan’s Japanese BBQ Sauce is available at Walmart, both on the regular BBQ sauce shelves and as a trial-size container for 25 cents on the clearance shelves. I’ve tried the trial-size bottle, and the stuff tastes basically like soy sauce to me, rather than BBQ sauce. I’d still try the co-promoted Top Ramen flavors, though, at least once.
I don’t think the Bachan Japanese BBQ Sauce tastes like soy sauce. It’s much sweeter than that. It’s supposed to be used as more of a marinade or stir fry sauce than a traditional American BBQ sauce application where you pour it on chicken or dip things in it.
You have to try the Bachan Japanese BBQ Sauce. It’s so good as a marinade for chicken tenders or chicken breasts. It’s also great in a stir fry.
