SPOTTED: Bettergoods Ube Dinner Rolls

Bettergoods Ube Dinner Rolls.

I’m surprised ube hasn’t gotten extremely popular in the US. I’m not talking Dubai-style chocolate crazy. More like hot honey. (Spotted by Robbie at Walmart.)

If you’re out shopping and see new products, snap a picture of them, and send them in via an email ([email protected]) with where you found them and “Spotted” in the subject line. Also, if you want to send in photos and are wondering if we’ve already covered something or if they’re new, don’t worry about it. Let us worry about it.

I found these at my local Walmart while grocery shopping for Christmas dinner. I was skeptical when I saw “made with purple yams” on the packaging, but the associate restocking the prepackaged bread/rolls aisle highly recommended them, so I bought a package each of the Ube dinner rolls and the Great Value “King’s Hawaiian” rolls dupe. I’ve had a few of the rolls myself and found them to be quite tasty; can’t swear that anyone else in the family has tried the Ube rolls yet, though.
