Orville Redenbacher's Popcorn Chips

If Orville Clarence Redenbacher was still alive, I wonder what he’d say about popcorn chips. (Spotted by JunkFoodDog at Metro in Canada.)

FAST FOOD NEWS: Sonic Croissant Dogs

Sonic Croissant Dogs

Update: We reviewed it! Click here to read our Bacon Double Cheddar review.

Sonic Drive-In is now offering hot dogs in buttery croissant buns. Reader Brad sent in this photo from a Sonic location in Chicago.

Their new Croissant Dogs are available in two varieties:

Original – A hot dog topped with just mustard.

Bacon Double Cheddar – A dog topped with chopped bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, a cheddar cheese sauce, and spicy mustard.

It shouldn’t be surprising to see new buns from Sonic in June. In June 2013, the chain introduced their Pretzel Dogs. And, last June, it was their Cheesy Bread Dogs. So does anyone want to take a guess at what we’ll see in June 2016?

The Original has 380 calories, 22 grams of fat, 9 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 35 milligrams of cholesterol, 1070 milligrams of sodium, 31 grams of carbohydrates, and 11 grams of protein.

The Bacon Double Cheddar has 510 calories, 34 grams of fat, 15 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 55 milligrams of cholesterol, 1670 milligrams of sodium, 34 grams of carbohydrates, and 18 grams of protein.

If you’ve tried a Croissant Dog, let us know what you think of it in the comments.

SPOTTED ON SHELVES: Quaker Birthday Cake Chewy Granola Bars

Quaker Birthday Cake Chewy Granola Bars

I’m not surprised by this, but I would be surprised if Quaker sold birthday cake-flavored instant oatmeal. (Spotted by Derek at Albertsons.)
