FAST FOOD NEWS: Starbucks S’mores Frappuccino

Starbucks Smores Frappuccino

On April 28, Starbucks will offer a brand new blended beverage — the S’mores Frappuccino.

There’s been a “secret menu” recipe for a S’mores Frappuccino on the internet for a while now that involves using Cinnamon Dolce and Toffee Nut syrups to emulate the graham. But this official version is different because it uses, according to Starbucks Melody, a graham cracker syrup.

The layered beverage features a marshmallow-infused whipped cream on the bottom; a milk chocolate sauce above that; and then a layer that’s made of graham cracker syrup, coffee, milk, and ice. All of that is topped with more marshmallow whipped cream and graham cracker crumbles.

The Starbucks S’mores Frappuccino will be available for a limited time.

FAST FOOD NEWS: Ben & Jerry’s BRRR-ito

Ben Jerry s BRRR ito

On April 20, Ben & Jerry’s will roll out a new way to eat ice cream at their Scoop Shops — the BRRR-ito.

Yes, it’s an ice cream burrito, and, yes, they’re releasing it on 4/20.

The sweet creation features two scoops of whatever Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavors you want, chocolate cookie crumbles, and a fudge drizzle in a soft waffle wrap. Nick over at On Second Scoop got a sneak taste at Ben & Jerry’s Headquarters.

If you get a chance to try one, let us know what you think of it in the comments.

FAST FOOD NEWS: IHOP Caramel Apple and Strawberry Creme Brioche French Toasts

IHOP Caramel Apple Brioche French Toast

IHOP has two new Brioche French Toast varieties.

Their Caramel Apple Brioche French Toast is topped with sliced apples, drizzled with a caramel sauce, and has a warm vanilla sauce on the side. Strawberry Creme Brioche French Toast features glazed strawberries, a dollop of sour creme, and a brown sugar drizzle.

IHOP’s Brioche French Toast is made by dipping thick-cut Brioche bread slices in a lightly-sweetened vanilla batter and then grilling them to a golden crispiness.

IHOP Strawberry Creme Brioche French Toast

IHOP has also brought back their Classic Bananas Foster Brioche French Toast that features sliced bananas caramelized in a buttery brown sugar glaze and a New Orleans Foster’s sauce.

These three IHOP Brioche French Toast flavors can be enjoyed as an entree or as part of a combo. They’ll be available until May 31.

If you’ve tried any of them, let us know what you think of it in the comments.

FAST FOOD NEWS: Wendy’s Ghost Pepper Fries and Jalapeno Fresco Spicy Chicken Sandwich

Wendy's Ghost Pepper Fries and Jalapeno Fresco Spicy Chicken

Wendy’s is testing two spicy menu items — Ghost Pepper Fries and the Jalapeño Fresco Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Both feature jalapeños and a Ghost Pepper sauce, and the chicken sandwich has a spicy chicken fillet. Impulsive Buy contributor Adam snapped the photo above from a Wendy’s location in Maryland. The chain is also testing the products in Michigan.

With the 1-2 punch of jalapeños and Ghost Pepper sauce, I wonder if Frosty sales will increase at the locations where they’re testing the two menu items.

If you’ve tried the sandwich or fries, let us know what you think of it and how spicy is was in the comments.
