SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 11/12/2014

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. If you’ve tried any of the products, share your thoughts about them in the comments.

Philadelphia Limited Edition Baker's Reserve Cream Cheese

If it’s reserved for bakers, am I going to have to show an American Bakers Association, The Bread Bakers Guild of America, The International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association, or Independent Bakers Association card in order to buy this? Or is “Baker’s Reserved” some marketing phrase to make a cream cheese stick seem more impressive than it really is? (Spotted by Erin at Harris Teeter.)

Cherry Green Apple Lemonade Twizzlers

A Christmas-looking treat, but not Christmas-tasting treat. (Spotted by Erin at Target.)

Cosmos Creations Spicy Sriracha Premium Puffed Corn

The Real Deal Sriracha Veggie Chips

Oh, sriracha! You flavor bandwagon! (Spotted by Dustin at Mariano’s Fresh Market.)

Charm City Cakes Duff Goldman Peppermint Velvet Premium Cookie Mix.

Charm City Cakes Duff Goldman White Chocolate Ginger Cookies Premium Cake Mix

I’m going to prove to you all why you should be thankful I’m not in marketing and I don’t name products. I want to rename the Peppermint Velvet Premium Cookie Mix to PeppeREDmint Velvet Premium Cookies Mix. You’re welcome. (Spotted by Steve at Target.)

SPOTTED ON SHELVES: Boulder Canyon Thanksgiving Feast Potato Chips

Boulder Canyon Thankgiving Feast Potato Chips

Remember when Jones Soda used to come out with their Holiday Pack with flavors like turkey and gravy soda? Well, I think those sodas would go great with these Boulder Canyon Thanksgiving Feast Potato Chips. There’s turkey & gravy, stuffing, cranberry, and pumpkin pie flavored potato chips. (Spotted by Karen at Target.)

Market Pantry Cinnamon Vanilla Holiday Milk

Tis the season of Market Pantry Holiday Milk! Loved their Chocolate Mint Milk. Loved their Snickerdoodle Milk. Will probably love this new flavor. (Spotted by Alex at Target.)

Barton Creek Crossing Pumpkin Spread

I’m posting this only because one of its ingredients is frickin’ rain water! (Spotted by Nathan at H-E-B.)

ThinkThin Pumpkin Spice and Dark Chocolate Peppermint Lean Protein & Fiber Bars

Of course there’s a pumpkin spice-flavored ThinkThin Lean Protein & Fiber Bar! (Spotted by Sylvia at Sprouts.)

479 Degrees Limited Edition Dark Chocolate + Bing Cherries Popcorn

If you’re wondering why the company is called 479 Degrees, I shall save you a Google search and tell you it honors the unpublished sequel to Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451. I shall also tell you that the previous statement was a lie and I wrote it to prank people who happen to do a Google search for why the company is called 479 Degrees, but just reads the excerpt Google gives and doesn’t click the link. The real reason is because the company’s founder believes 479 degrees is the optimal temperature for popping corn. (Spotted by Ryan at Target.)

Gold Emblem Select Gourmet European Milk Chocolate Truffles (Strawberry Cheesecake or Caramel Brownie)

Hey look, kleptomaniacs! (Spotted by Sylvia at CVS.)

SPOTTED ON SHELVES: Kellogg’s Pop-Tarts Gone Nutty Frosted PB & J Strawberry

Kellogg's Pop-Tarts Gone Nutty Frosted PB & J Strawberry

Surge is back. Crispy M&M’s will be back. And now PB&J Pop-Tarts are back. (For those of you who were born in the 1990s, there were PB&J Pop-Tarts in the 1980s.) I guess if the entertainment industry can reboot shows and movies from the 80s and 90s, the processed food industry can do the same with junk food. (Spotted by Josh at Walmart.)
