NEWS: Kellogg’s Releases Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice Eggo Waffles

Update: Click here to read our Pumpkin Spice Eggo Waffles review

I hope the new Kellogg’s Limited Edition Eggo Pumpkin Spice Waffles aren’t good. Because if they are, I’m going to WANT them throughout the year, just like I’ve been YEARNING for the Limited Edition Pumpkin Pie Pop-Tarts ever since I ate my last one over 365 days ago.

The new limited edition Eggo waffles have a “flavor inspired by autumn.” Those inspirational flavors are pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Each box comes with 10 waffles and they’re a Target exclusive available at Target and other fine stores. Here’s someone’s review of these seasonal frozen waffles.

NEWS: Yoplait Adds Chocolate Banana To Their Smoothie Line

Yoplait’s Smoothies have been around since 2009 and I gave them a extremely positive review. Although it wasn’t my intent, I thought the high scores would’ve encourage Yoplait to send me yogurt for life or, at least, a beautiful woman in a French maid outfit armed with a Swiffer to clean my place, but that didn’t happen.

Anyhoo, Yoplait expanded their smoothie line with a Chocolate Banana flavor. Each package contains chocolate flavored frozen yogurt pieces and bananas. Just pour everything into a blender, pour some skim milk, blend, and in no time you’ll have a refreshing chocolatey smoothie filled with live and active cultures and 50% of your daily recommended amount of calcium.

Each package makes two 8-ounce servings and have a suggested price of $3.49. A serving using skim milk has 130 calories, 10 calories from fat, 1 gram of fat, 0.5 grams of saturated fat, less than 5 milligrams of sodium, 80 milligrams of sodium, 23 grams of carbohydrates, 15 grams of sugar, and 6 grams of protein.

NEWS: New Orville Redenbacher’s Flavors Lets You Decide How Much Sodium You’re Going To Consume

Popcorn

When I first heard about self-serve butter dispensers at movie theaters I thought, “Finally, I can grease up my popcorn like they’re the bare chests of Chippendales dancers.” With these dispensers, I could use a little butter or I could drown pieces of popcorn like I’m celebrating Lobsterfest at Red Lobster.

Orville Redenbacher’s is also allowing popcorn lovers to flavor their microwaveable popcorn with as much seasoning as they want with their new line of Orville Redenbacher’s Flavors.

The new variety is offered in individually wrapped bags of microwave popcorn with a separate powder seasoning packet, and come in three flavors: White Cheddar, Extra Cheese, or Sea Salt and Vinegar.

Orville Redenbacher’s Flavors retails for $1.19 to $1.29 for individually wrapped, single 3.24-ounce bags and are now available at selected retail outlets.

NEWS: Limited Edition Sweet Cinnamon Wheat Thins Will Sweeten My Holiday Season and Ruin All Following Seasons When They Disappear

Since 2009, I have lamented the discontinuation of my beloved Lightly Cinnamon Wheat Thins, which were introduced in 2008. I gave them a 9 out of 10, but Nabisco gave me heartache when they stopped producing them.

I thought I would get over those sweetened Wheat Thins when Nabisco released a cinnamon version of their Wheat Thins Crunch Stix, but they just weren’t the same.

However, this holiday season, Nabisco plans to release the Limited Edition Sweet Cinnamon Wheat Thins.

Yes! They’re coming back.

No! They’re limited edition.

Bastards!

Limited Edition Sweet Cinnamon Wheat Thins will use real cinnamon and provide 10 grams of whole grain per serving. A serving of 14 pieces also has 140 calories, 5 grams of fat, 1 gram of saturated fat, 90 milligrams of sodium, 21 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of fiber, 5 grams of sugar, and 2 grams of protein.

Limited Edition Sweet Cinnamon Wheat Thins will be available in 9.5 ounce boxes.

NEWS: Nabisco Is Makin’ It Rain New Ritz Cracker Varieties

Ritz Garlic Butter on Shelf

Geez, the people in the Ritz Cracker Division at Nabisco have been busy.

During my last trip to the store, I counted three new Ritz products, and when I did a little more digging on the internet I found out there were two other new Ritz varieties.

Regular Ritz Crackers have two new flavors: Garlic Butter and Honey Wheat. The Garlic Butter is naturally flavored, while Honey Wheat is naturally and artificially flavored, but contains five grams of whole grain per five cracker serving.

Ritz Honey Wheat on Shelf

A serving of Garlic Butter Ritz has 80 calories, 4 grams of fat, 1 gram of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat*, 0 milligrams of cholesterol, 110 milligrams of sodium, 10 grams of carbohydrates, 0 grams of fiber, 1 gram of sugar, and less than 1 gram of protein.

A serving of Honey Wheat Ritz has 80 calories, 4 grams of fat, 1 gram of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat*, 0 milligrams of cholesterol, 110 milligrams of sodium, 10 grams of carbohydrates, less than 1 gram of fiber, 2 grams of sugar, and 1 gram of protein.

Ritz Bitz Kickin' Cheddar on Shelf

The other new Ritz cracker product I found while shopping was the Ritz Bits Kickin’ Cheddar. The mini Ritz sandwiches have a cheddar cheese filling with a spicy kick. If you buy a lot of products with the word “Kickin'” in its name, you know that it’s either meant for kids or its spicy, but the Ritz Bits Kickin’ Cheddar is the first product I’ve seen that incorporates both meanings.

The other two Ritz cracker products I learned about via the internets are the Ritz Crackerfuls BIG STUFF Colossal Cheddar and Ritz Munchables Buttery Thins Original Flavor.

If you’re not familiar with Ritz Crackerfuls, you can read our review. Basically, the Ritz Crackefuls BIG STUFF Colossal Cheddar is the Double Stuf Oreo version of a regular Ritz Crackerfuls Classic Cheddar. According to Nabisco, it has 75 percent more filling. I guess that mean there’s more cushion for the pushin’…in my mouth.

One Ritz Crackefuls BIG STUFF Colossal Cheddar has 190 calories, 11 grams of fat, 3.5 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 300 milligrams of sodium, 20 grams of carbohydrates, 4 grams of fiber, 3 grams of sugar, and 2 grams of protein.

Finally, there’s the Ritz Munchables Buttery Thins Original Flavor, which I thought was a product we already reviewed. But, it appears they made some changes to the Ritz Munchables line so they’re no longer a Frankensnack that combines Ritz crackers with pretzels.
