NEWS: Kettle Brand Likey the Spicy With Their Jalapeno Potato Chips

Hot off the heels of their Death Valley Chipotle Potato Chips, Kettle Brand recently introduced their Jalapeno flavored chips, which they describe as, “Striking a perfect balance between fresh, well-rounded flavor and the simple spicy bite of green jalapeno peppers.”

Being a fan of Kettle Brand Potato Chips and jalapenos (I once drank the juice from a jar of pickled jalapenos for two dollars), I’m eager to give these a try. Look for it in grocery and hippie natural food stores nationwide. They will be available in 2 oz., 5 oz., and 9 oz. bags.

We reviewed these on my site, I don’t want to be a slut and post the link, but what they called “Death Valley Chipotle” wasn’t very hot. They do make some good chips though, so let’s hope these have a good kick.

  2. Kaitis says:

Oh duh, You reviewed those too. I’m totally great at seeing links in articles.

  3. orb205 says:

Yay Kettle Chips! I think the only brand that really has a dissappointing jalapeno chip is Poore Brothers. All of their chips for that matter lack salt and flavor.

  4. Woodenhand says:

Hmmm This might be okay, but I’m weary of jalapeno chips, usually they are dissapointing, but here’s hoping these babies have a little boom boom pow

  5. brad says:

Kettle chips have such potential but they always end up with too little flavor

  6. Rob says:

When are you going to have another contest? I was just thinking about that, I have no idea why.

  7. Neil the hammer says:

Are these chips like the Angry Whopper ? Lots of hype not much bite. I do admit that whats not even hot for one person is mouth watering scorching for another.

    THAT IS ALL

  8. Felix Tibs says:

I agree, those death valley chips were El Sucko. Now Crunchers! makes a good jalapeno chip!

  9. Chuck says:

It’s hard to go wrong with kettle cooked jalepeno potato chips.

  10. Let's says:

I tried these a few days ago, and they were okay. They’re kind of similar to Dirty Chips’ (a smaller kettle chip brand) jalapeno chips. Neither one has anything more than a tiny bit of heat.

  11. Marvo says:

@orb205: I haven’t tried the Poore Brothers chips, but I keep passing by them and heading to the Kettle Chips.

    @Woodenhand: Boom boom!

@brad: But you have to admit that they come out with some unusual flavors. Beer Cheddar?

@Rob: Because you’re hungry, but don’t want to pay for something to eat? We will be holding a new prize drawing soon. Maybe next week.

@Neil the hammer: I’m going to say that these are probably going to be like the Angry Whopper.

@Felix Tibs: Pringles makes an awesome potato crisp made out of potato flakes and packaged in a tall cylindrical can.

@Chuck: We shall find out, whenever the hippie natural food store across the street gets them.

@Let’s: Thank you for sharing your opinion about them.

  12. Pretty much love anything Kettle Brand puts out. Their Thai and Salt/Pepper are my favorite. I will have to try these, great review.

  13. Marvo says:

@wouldibuyitagain: I hear the Spicy Thai is really good, but I haven’t tried it yet.

  14. Kettle sent me some of these chips to try and I loved them! :D No they aren’t super spicy but they have a great kick that gets the job done.

  15. Marvo says:

@Andrea (Off Her Cork): :’( I wish Kettle would send me some chips to review and give away to readers. Oh who am I kidding. I wouldn’t give them away. I like Kettle chips so much that I would keep them all for myself and eat them until I reached a greasy coma.

Thanks for sharing your opinion about them.

  16. Zach says:

If you want some good Jalapeno chips, you can’t go wrong with Tim’s.
