PRIZE DRAWING: Because You Want To Make Me Wait in a Long Line at the Post Office

2012-12-06 00.19.51

It’s the season of giving so I decided to collect a bunch of stuff lying around that companies sent us and give it away as one prize pack. Most of the stuff is in the picture above, but after I took that picture, I found a few other items to add.

What’s in the picture above?

There’s a test can of Mountain Dew Johnson City Gold, two coupons for a free Smart Ones frozen entree, two coupons for a free pint of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, and a Coinstar Sherpa, which is just a bag you can put your coins in when you’re going to the Coinstar machine. As for the other items, that’ll be a surprise for the winner.

To enter The Impulsive Buy’s Random Stuff Prize Pack drawing, leave a comment with THIS post. You can say whatever you want in your comment.

Please don’t forget to fill out the email field because we’ll be emailing the randomly selected winner for his or her mailing addresses. The Impulsive Buy will stop accepting entries on Saturday, December 15, 2012 11:59 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time. Only one comment allowed per person, and it’s only open to U.S. residents 18 years old or older.

For those of you who have a Twitter account, you can get an additional entry by tweeting the following by Saturday, December 15, 2012 11:59 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time:

Hey, @theimpulsivebuy! Thanks for giving away your junk! I hope it ends up being my junk. #imnotahoarder

So just copy, paste, and tweet. Only one tweet per Twitter account.

Good luck!

Fine Print: The Impulsive Buy promises your email address will not be used to send you pictures of mommy kissing Santa Claus. Impulsive Buy also promises your mailing address will not be used to send you one of those stick-on calendars. Bribes will not be accepted. The Impulsive Buy will not be responsible for lost mail, damaged mail, or you not using the coupons before their expiration date.

  1. I think you’re overdue for some self-mutilation for the amusement of your readers…I don’t have specific ideas yet, but I’m sure something will come to me…

  2. I think the Mountain Dew Can should be been sparkly gold. I also love the balance of the Smart Ones Coupon and Ben & Jerry’s coupons. If I win, you could put them all in the Coinstar bag and mail them to me!

  3. I think I will marinate the Smart Ones in the Mountain Dew if I win, then cover them in Ben and Jerry’s sauce.

  4. Lines can only make you stronger!
Winning would be awesome, and all this stuff would perfectly fuel a finals binge…. Mt Dew and ice cream = covered.
Smart ones for the inevitable panic that arises from the post-final date with a scale? Also covered!

Phew I was real worried about that one

  6. Just wanted to say thanks for all the work you put into this site. It’s hilarious, informative, and I always wait with baited breath to see what you’re going to post next!

(Of course my breath has been baited with Doritos Jacked tortilla chips.)

  7. I wonder how much Johnson City Gold it would take to dilute a spirit to the point someone thinks they’re drinking an everyday beer?

  8. bribes wont be accepted????I guess ill just donate this million dollars to some crappy non food based charity!

  9. I would like to win because I can give out the cool stuff as Christmas presents cause I am poor.

  10. I’ve always wanted to shot gun a plain-wrap can of Johnson City Gold.

Help me achieve my goal. Thanks!

  11. Choose me, I love random crap! Also, I’ve been visiting TIB probably since the very beginning and I’ve never won any of your giveaways. It would make my holiday!

  12. I’m going to wait until it snows and then eat this ice cream in my boxers on my balcony while yelling at people on the street below.

  13. I can say whatever I want? Well, I’m looking forward (hah) to standing in line at the Post Office on Friday, especially since that Post Office is in the middle of a Hallmark store of all places. It’s weird. I hope your own Post Office is every bit as interesting, Marvo. Also, thanks for the contest!

  14. Oh I wish I was a little bar of soap.
Oh I wish I was a little bar of soap.
I would slip and slip and slidey,
    Over everybody’s heiny,
Oh I wish I was a little bar of soap!

  15. I had Frodo’s Pot Roast Skillet at Denny’s this weekend. Broccoli, beef, potatoes, carrots… It wasn’t horrible. Good for elevenses.

  16. I can say whatever I want. Hmmm. Well, I saw in the news that the Big British Chain Store Corporation Tesco is considering giving up on their American “Fresh & Easy” stores, which they were trying to market as “Trader Joe’s quality at Walmart prices”. Yeah, wasn’t so “Easy”, was it, Tes? And they haven’t even opened one in Marvo’s neighborhood (if they had, I’m sure he would’ve posted a couple dozen times about their 99c produce packages). Well, back to Trader Joe’s and Walmart…

  17. Remember, if I don’t win this prize drawing, instead of indulging on pints of delicious Ben and Jerry’s (Mint Chocolate Cookie or Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, since they cancelled Rainforest Crunch . . . bastards), I’ll have to resort to eating fistfulls of shortening.

  18. The holiday french silk pie at Village Inn is identical to the regular one, except it has red and green chocolate chips added.

  19. I made a new recipe for chocolate red wine truffles. They taste exactly like rumballs….with red wine. I’m kinda disappointed 🙁

  20. Ohhh, gimmie! Please don’t wait in line to mail it. Go buy a book of stamps and weight it then you won’t have to when you send it to me. 🙂

  21. I love your blog so much 🙂 I read it like every day, and it always makes me laugh. You guys are awesome! 🙂

  22. You can never have too many men, that’s why I need more Ben and Jerry in my life right now!

  23. I don’t know what Mtn. Dew Johnson City Gold is, but I bet my husband sure would like to try it.

    1. Ah, why the hell not. Not sure what kind of Dew it’s supposed to be… but hopefully it won’t kill me!

  24. Ah, why the hell not. Not sure what kind of Dew it’s supposed to be… but hopefully it won’t kill me! (Replied to a reply the first time)

  25. I want that stuff. Except I’ll have to wait in a postal line too, if I win, because I’ll want to give the Test Can of Mountain Dew to my friend who’s fanatically into Mountain Dew.

  26. This is 100% true:
I’ve NEVER had Ben and Jerry’s in my life and i have been living in America for nearly 20 years.
    I even watched their documentary

  27. You guys are entertaining enough of a thing for me to read what you push to your RSS feed, and I really want that bag.

  28. I love free stuff and I can save you a trip to the post office. You can go online to usps.com and follow the instructions to print out postage online. And they’ll even pick up. See how easy that was? Do I win?

  29. Yo dawg. I heard you like comments, so I put a comment in your comments, so that you can comment on my comments about commenting.

  30. 1. Cut a hole in a box
    2. Put your junk in the box
    3. Make me open that box

That’s the way you do it.
