If you follow Taco Bell closely, you probably thought their Doritos Locos Tacos were going to end up in either their Double Decker Taco or Cheesy Gordita Crunch. Well, my Taco Bell obsessed friend, you are correct. The Doritos Cheesy Gordita Crunch is here.
It’s a warm flatbread that’s attached to a Doritos Locos Taco using a melted three-cheese blend as the glue, and then it’s topped with a zesty pepper jack sauce. According to the Taco Bell website, the Doritos Cheesy Gordita Crunch is available with either a Nacho Cheese or Fiery Doritos Locos Taco, but I’m sure you could get it with a Cool Ranch DLT if you asked.
The Doritos Nacho Cheese Cheesy Gordita Crunch has 490 calories, 28 grams of fat, 10 grams of saturated fat, 1 gram of trans fat, 55 milligrams of cholesterol, 880 milligrams of sodium, 40 grams of carbohydrates, 5 grams of fiber, and 20 grams of protein. The Fiery version has 490 calories, 28 grams of fat, 10 grams of saturated fat, 1 gram of trans fat, 55 milligrams of cholesterol, 890 milligrams of sodium, 40 grams of carbohydrates, 5 grams of fiber, and 20 grams of protein.
If you’ve tried it, let us know what you think of it in the comments.

Looks like they redesigned the Doritos Logo. This will be the 10th Doritos logo redesign in it’s 50 year history. “I studied Logo Design in College so I notice and know these things”
I’ve been doing this since they came out with the Doritos Locos Tacos, so I’m glad to see it’s officially on the menu. However, I always get the Fiery shell since it came out so I get the cheesy and spicy!
My Taco Bell is offering both the Cheesy Nacho and the Fiery Nacho shell version of the CGC, and there’s a photo and a logo for it on the menu, so it looks like an official addition too… but maybe not nationwide?
You’d think they could get a hand model who didn’t bite his nails…
I tried the spicy DLCGC taco yesterday. It was just like a regular CGC, which is pretty good. Taco Bell seems to have gotten a bit skimpy with the cheese in between the gordita and taco shell. The part I didn’t like, however, was the pepper jack sauce. It had an off-putting tangy taste that was reminiscent of Miracle Whip. Of course, there are people who like that stuff, but it’s not for me.
