Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. If you’ve tried any of the products, share your thoughts about them in the comments.
I’ve heard of stinky cheese, but not sticky cheese. Thank goodness there’s no such thing as sickly cheese. What’s Good at Trader Joe’s has a reviEww. (Spotted by Kathleen at Trader Joe’s.)
This is a sweetened blend of black currant, apple, and lemon juices, with cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, cardamom, ginger, and orange peel. It can be served over ice, warmed in a mug, or chugged straight from the bottle. (Spotted by Rachel C at Trader Joe’s.)
Kiss my shrimp and grits bites! Yes, that’s an old reference that 75 percent of you won’t know. (Spotted by Amy B at Trader Joe’s.)
The G’s look like smiling faces and the C looks like my former bosses giving me a stern look. (Spotted by Rachel C at Trader Joe’s.)
Triple Ginger Snaps. Triple Ginger Brew. And now Triple Ginger Instant Oatmeal. But what if all these years they’ve really just been double ginger? Who’s keeping track of the gingers? (Spotted by Rachel C at Trader Joe’s.)

I wonder if TJ’s will still have any of these by this weekend. It seems every time I see something I’d like to try from TJ’s on The Impulsive Buy, all of the stores in Phoenix tell me, “Oh, no, we ran out of that immediately and it’s done for the season. Try again next year.” It’s enough for me to not even bother going to TJ’s anymore.
My thoughts exactly!! I really wanted some of those advent calendars for my kiddos. I went in just a day after I received the fearless flyer, and…..none left! They said they sold out over the weekend. Whaaaat????
Did you get to try the Thanksgiving chips or chocolate pecan pudding pie? Sadly, I did not. 🙁
They can special order and hold most items if it’s early enough in the season.
I am old enough to remember the TV show, Alice!
Wow, what a unique sounding cheese! Definitely different from anything I’ve ever seen and that granola sounds great!
I thought the shrimp and grits bites was a cookbook at first.
That granola is calling my name.
I got to try the Christmas Wassail – delicious!! I liked it so much I went back to buy some more for our party at work and already sold out and was told they are not getting any more in and it’s two weeks before Christmas!
This kind of stuff really irritates me. TJ’s is pretending like Thanksgiving ended in October and Christmas ended in November. Better stock up on your Valentine’s Day stuff now because come January you’ll be SOL.
