FAST FOOD NEWS: Starbucks Triple Mocha and Ultra Caramel Frappuccino Blended Beverages

Triple Mocha Ultra Caramel Frappuccino

Starbucks has added two new layered Frappuccino Blended Beverages to its menu that don’t have sparkles, bright colors, or involve mythical creatures.

But they do have Starbucks’ new sweet cold brew whipped cream that’s infused with cold brew, dark caramel sauce, and white chocolate mocha sauce.

The first not-so-Instagrammable new Frappuccino is the Triple Mocha. It starts with a layer of sweet cold brew whipped cream and a layer of dark mocha sauce at the bottom of the cup. On top of that is a standard Mocha Frappuccino made with mocha sauce, Frappuccino Roast coffee, and milk blended with ice. All of that is topped with another layer of sweet cold brew whipped cream and a dark mocha drizzle.

A grande with whole milk has 400 calories, 18 grams of fat, 12 grams of saturated fat, 0.5 grams of trans fat, 55 milligrams of cholesterol, 190 milligrams of sodium, 55 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, 51 grams of sugar, 5 grams of protein, and 90 milligrams of caffeine.

The Ultra Caramel Frappuccino is layered like the Triple Mocha and has the same sweet cold brew whipped cream, but instead of the dark mocha sauce and Mocha Frappuccino, it has a dark caramel sauce and dark caramel coffee Frappuccino middle layer.

  1. I had one today (05/02/18) at the Starbucks inside the Harris Teeter grocery store locally. The barista had not made one yet, as it just came out, and hadn’t yet tried it.

I liked it a lot, it was very chocolatey without being over the top. Although there are two layers (bottom and top) of the new cold brew foam, I couldn’t taste the bottom much with the standard mocha frappucino and the chocolate drizzle.

It’s definitely a sweet drink, but if you’re already into the mocha and get it with whip cream, this would be a good way to go.

  2. The Ultra caramel is really nice, its amazing how much a difference the whip cream makes. Very yummy. I wish they’d pour the caramel all over the inside of the cup though…that would be more ultra. Haha

  3. Honestly tried both and the mocha was by far the best drink I’ve had at Starbucks.
    The double layer is unreal.
