SPOTTED: Brach’s Late Night Taco Truck Jelly Beans

Brach s Late Night Taco Truck Jelly Beans

Update: We tried it! Click here to read our review.

Your eyes are not deceiving you. Brach’s has made salsa, guacamole, and beef taco flavored jelly beans. Oooh, Jelly Belly should try its hand at making the same flavors. Although, now that I think about it, if Jelly Belly has come up with dog food and booger flavors, it’s probably tested all kinds of ideas, including salsa, guacamole, and beef taco. 1. Props for: (1) Brach’s being a local-to me company (near suburbs of Chicago); and (2) being incredibly out-of-the box-thinking/crazy inventive, with this idea. No mere boring re-hash, nor obvious flavor combo here. I’d also have to throw in additional props for the packaging and the name. Oh, and that Brach’s reminds me of childhood candies I used to frequently get at home and at my grandmas’ houses, as well.

However, I’m sorry to say, the props end there…and the gags promptly begin.

    1. Oh, and I just took a look at the full list of flavor names…and, as it turns out, only half of them sound gross to me (salsa, guacamole, beef taco). The other half actually sound really good (margarita, churro, horchata).

Hmmm…now, this suddenly has me rethinking things. Of course, if I ever did find and buy this, I’d end up wasting half the bag: picking out the 1st set of offenders, and saving and eating the yummy-sounding 2nd set.

  2. I’ve been looking everywhere for these but haven’t been able to find them anywhere in New York City! I don’t expect to enjoy them, but I very much enjoyed awing/disgusting some friends with Brach’s Thanksgiving themed candy corns so I gotta hunt these down too…
