SPOTTED: Coca-Cola Limited Edition Starlight

Coca Cola Limited Edition Starlight

Update: We tried it! Click here to read our review.

Coca-Cola says this flavor is “reminiscent of stargazing around a campfire, as well as a cooling sensation that evokes the feeling of a cold journey to space.” Well, I’m not a billionaire with a space travel company, so I guess this will be the closest I’ll get to a “cold journey to space.” (Spotted by Jim R at Fry’s Food Stores.)

  1. You need to try this ASAP. I just got an email from Coke about this and I said, “I’ll let The Impulsive Buy try it! They’ll try anything!” They’re being cagey about what it actually tastes like, but I don’t think a cooling sensation is what I’m after in a soft drink.

  2. I bought the Coke Zero version. It tastes like weak Coke with strong cotton candy flavoring. Too sweet, and I didn’t notice any “cooling sensation.” It was worth a try but definitely not a repeat purchase.

    1. Yes, Coca-Cola Starlight is available in individual 20-ounce bottles and 10-packs of 7.5-ounce mini cans — both in Original Taste and Zero Sugar options.

  3. Per the Reddit Coca-Cola forum, it tastes like smores and is bright red. I haven’t tried it myself but want to!

  4. So instead of stepping up production of Vanilla Coke and Vanilla Coke Zero, neither of which I’ve been able to find for well over a year without paying scalper prices on Amazon, they invest their time and resources on “Starlight” . Ok.

    1. Just add your own vanilla extract or flavoring to regular Coke. To taste. You won’t regret it. 😉

    2. …yeah…stinks that they’re choosing to go the way of many popular food and beverage big companies and play with novelty versus sticking to core standards.

      1. It sucks because these companies almost seem to now have the attitude of “Meh, the quality doesn’t even have to be that great because we know we’ll make killer money due to the novelty…We don’t have to spend as much time and resources R&D’ing as much anymore!!!”
