  1. If that isn’t a marketing deal it should be. Seattle Reign is our women’s soccer team and the Storm is our women’s basketball team.

      Aside from seemingly randomly throwing that word around:
      It’s a proven fact that more descriptive product names…particularly in the CPG (consumer-packaged-goods) sector…lead to higher sales volume. And, yes, I would know: I work in market research, with a specialization in CPG packaging and branding.

    2. Valencia oranges are a specific kind of orange. Kiwi Blend is fairly straightforward, and I’ve seen drinks use the word “blend” in their title my entire life. Peach and nectarines are two different kinds of fruit. Harvest grapes makes me think of grapes that were picked fresh from a garden. It’s insane to pretend that any of these names are even remotely pretentious. They’re all extremely basic.
