SPOTTED: Hostess Twinkies and CupCakes Pudding

Would it be weird if I sucked out the cream in a Twinkie and replaced it with Twinkies Pudding? I’m not sure how to do that, but I think I might want to find out. (Spotted by Robbie at H-E-B.)

If you’re out shopping and see new products, snap a picture of them, and send them in via an email ([email protected]) with where you found them and “Spotted” in the subject line. Also, if you want to send in photos and are wondering if we’ve already covered something or if they’re new, don’t worry about it. Let us worry about it.

  1. Honestly I don’t know why they haven’t already done a putting filled Twinkie or cupcake!

      1. Back in the early 90s they made a yellow cake chocolate pudding filled cupcake. I think you can find it on YouTube…also if you Google an image of hostess pudding cakes a coupon pic will pop up…They were the best hostess cakes ever! Just like the foil covered ding dongs!

        1. That’s awesome! I will look for them and I really do miss those foil covered Ding Dongs. I also miss the original Hawaiian Punch from back then not that stuff they try to pass off these days!

          1. Speaking of punch, I remember Delaware punch being great as a kid too. I know it was hard to find over the years and I never had it again. Now I believe it’s gone… I’m sure it’ll make a comeback someday.

  2. I can’t tell, are these on the regular shelves or refrigerated case? I hope to find them but I’m not sure where to look. I just have Walmart to check, maybe they won’t be carrying them at all, but I’d sure like to see.

    1. I’d say refrigerated, Look at the picture closely, the packs to the side have pudding cups in them, and the package itself also says “4 cups”
I’d be surprised if there is any cake involved at all

      1. oops, it might be by the snack pack pudding, no refrigeration needed until opened…

Twinkies flavored artificially flavored. Gluten free. New! No preservatives.

        Warnings: Contains: milk.
Instructions: Needs no refrigeration (refrigerate after opening).

        1. Super. I finally found it on the internet. All I need to do is pick up the (shelf-stable it says) pudding at HEB. In Texas. Give me a few minutes to run over. From Minnesota. Grrrrr.

          1. I’m in Ohio so it doesn’t help me either. I guess all we can do is hope that it eventually makes it out our way. I remember when the orange cream Pop-Tarts came out and I waited and I waited and I waited but they never came. Hope this isn’t one of those situations!

        2. You are correct. They were in the snack pack section when I snapped the pic. My apologies for not seeing this sooner!

  3. I’m glad it says pudding clearly on the front because otherwise those boxes look indistinguishable from the regular snack cakes to me!
