If I’m going to have to pick a mac & cheese in the frozen food aisle in a blue box that debuted in 2023, I’d probably pick these Tillamook ones over the other frozen mac & cheese in a blue box that was introduced in 2023. (Spotted by Stephanie A at Target.)

If they were 4-5 bucks cheaper I’d give them a try but at that price plus tax, sadly gonna pass.

It’s 1 pound, 6 ounces of frozen Mac N’ Cheese made with high-quality cheese (and additional toppings for the other two options). It’s not a small box of dry noodles and cheese powder. Not trying to simp for a corporation here but “it’s cheese and noodles” is a silly oversimplification. This is a perfectly reasonable price point for the size.
So the pasta has been cooked… water, noodles and cheese LOL
to be fair it looks like they used some milk and sprinkled bread crumbs on top also
I like Tillamook cheese as much as the next monger, but unless we’re talking one of their aged special reserves, I’d say it’s slightly better then my stores brand cheese, and once you freeze cheese, it’s quality suffers IMO
It’s main shelf competitor would be Stouffers, which right now at the store closest to me (which tends to be the highest price) shows a 40 oz (that’s 2 pound 8 ounces of frozen Mac N’ Cheese , nearly double the amount!) @ $10.49, & a 20 oz on sale for $5.99 / $6.79 regular price.
Just for fun I checked Walmart also,

40 oz ~ $8.18
76 oz ~ $13.18
That’s a sizable difference in a time when the mood seems to be that “prices are to high”
$10? No thanks , ill stick to the great value artisian boxed mac and cheese varieties if I want to get fancy
