Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s announced their newest meat, cheese, and bread creation, the Steakhouse Thickburgers.

The new Steakhouse Thickburgers are available with either a 1/3 lb. or 1/2 lb. charbroiled, 100 percent Black Angus beef patty that topped with A.1. Steak Sauce, crumbled blue cheese, crispy onion strings, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and mayonnaise on the chains’ Fresh Baked Buns.

The 1/3 lb. burger is available for $5.59 and the 1/2 pound for $6.79. Either one can be ordered as a combo meal with fries and a drink starting at $8.09.

The Carl’s Jr. version with a 1/3 lb. patty has 1040 calories, 67 grams of fat, 20 grams of saturated fat, 2 grams of trans fat, 105 milligrams of cholesterol, 2070 milligrams of sodium, 73 grams of carbohydrates, 3 grams of fiber, 20 grams of sugar, and 31 grams of protein.

The release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens is just a few days away. But the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens food products has been going on for many days. Baskin-Robbins is joining the cross-promotion party with their new Star Wars Ice Cream Cakes.

There are two cakes available.

The Star Wars: The Force Awakens Cake is a classic sheet cake decorated with orange icing with a black, grey, and white trim. The cake is topped with a collectible (and maybe eBay-able) BB-8 decoration and a raised backdrop that features Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma, Rey, Finn, and Poe Dameron.

Baskin Robbins Star Wars Darth Vader Cake

The Star Wars: Darth Vader Cake is a classic sheet cake with blue icing with a red, black, and grey trim. It’s topped with a Darth Vader helmet decoration that makes Lord Vader’s breathing sounds.

Both ice cream cakes can be customized with your favorite Baskin-Robbins ice cream flavor. They can be ordered in-store or on the Baskin-Robbins website, and are available for pick-up within 24 hours of ordering.

Impulsive Buy reader Brad sent in this photo from a Burger King in Chicago. It appears the fast food chain is offering special holiday cola beverages at locations that have Coke Freestyle Machines.

There are three flavors available. Secret Santa has cherry, lime, and vanilla flavors. Jolly Reindeer has a festive blend with vanilla flavor. Finally, Mistletoe Flow is a zero calorie blend with vanilla flavor.

Taco Bell’s new BOSS Nachos are made up of steak, nacho cheese sauce, reduced fat sour cream, beans, pico de gallo, a three cheese blend, and guacamole on a bed of tortilla chips.

Wait a minute. That list sounds familiar.

Oh, that’s right. They’re the same ingredients that were in Taco Bell’s XXL Steak Nachos.

The steak version sells for $5.99, but you can also get the nachos with chicken for $5.79 or seasoned beef for $4.99.

A serving with steak has 1130 calories, 57 grams of fat, 10 grams of saturated fat, 0.5 grams of trans fat, 65 milligrams of cholesterol, 1990 milligrams of sodium, 116 grams of carbohydrates, 16 grams of fiber, 6 grams of sugar, and 38 grams of protein.

Baskin-Robbins’ Flavor of the Month for December 2015 is the new Oreo Cool Mint Chocolate Ice Cream. It features chocolate ice cream filled with Cool Mint Oreo cookie pieces and a dark peppermint fudge ribbon.

The use of Cool Mint Oreo cookies is unusual. There have been DOZENS of Oreo ice cream products, but it’s rare to see a product that uses an Oreo flavor that’s not regular Oreo or Golden Oreo.

A small scoop has 190 calories, 11 grams of fat, 5 grams of saturated fat, 25 milligrams of cholesterol, 90 milligrams of sodium, 22 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of fiber, 16 grams of sugar, and 3 grams of protein.
