FAST FOOD NEWS: Wayback Burgers Oreo Mud Pie Cricket Milkshake and Slim Jim Jerky Milkshakes

Wayback Burgers Oreo Mud Pie Cricket Milkshake and Slim Jim Jerky Milkshake

Need a break from that giant container of protein powder you got from GNC? The folks at Wayback Burgers can help…or hurt. It depends on how you feel about drinking cricket or jerky milkshakes.

Their Oreo Mud Pie Cricket Protein Milkshake features vanilla bean ice cream, Oreo Cookie crumbles, chocolate and coffee flavoring, and Peruvian chocolate cricket protein powder. A 22-ounce serving has 24 grams of protein.

The Slim Jim Jerky Protein Milkshake is made using vanilla bean ice cream and barbecue, maple syrup, and hickory spice seasonings. Sadly, the Slim Jims aren’t blended into the milkshake. They just lounge in it. A 22-ounce serving has 20 grams of protein.

The milkshakes are available in Junior (12 oz.) and Regular (22 oz.) sizes and will be around until September 30th.

If you’ve tried either one, let us know what you think of it in the comments.

FAST FOOD NEWS: Krispy Kreme Birthday Cake Chiller

Krispy Kreme Birthday Cake Chiller

Krispy Kreme has brought back their Brownie Batter Doughnut (brownie batter-flavored filling and topped with milk chocolate icing and mini chocolate chips) and Birthday Cake Batter Doughnut (birthday cake-flavored filling and topped with yellow icing and confetti sprinkles).

But the chain also brought something new to their menu — the Birthday Cake Chiller. It’s a cupcake-flavored frozen treat topped with whipped cream and sprinkles. If I had a Krispy Kreme near me, I would be very tempted to dip a Birthday Cake Batter Doughnut into a Birthday Cake Chiller.

The new Chiller and two doughnuts are available at participating locations in the U.S. and Canada until August 30.

If you’ve tried any of them, let us know what you think of it in the comments.

FAST FOOD NEWS: McDonald’s McCafe Strawberry Lemonade

McDonald's Strawberry Lemonade

You can beat the heat this summer at McDonald’s.

Now at this point you might be thinking I’m going to write about how their new McCafe Strawberry Lemonade will help you beat the heat. Well, I’m not. Because to keep cool all you need to do is hang out at McDonald’s. Their restaurants are air conditioned. I mean, you should buy something, like a McChicken, small fries, or this strawberry lemonade.

By the way, it’s not just a plain old strawberry lemonade. It also comes with a lemon wedge and strawberries in it. Fancy, McDonald’s! Faaancy!

A medium has 160 calories, 0 grams of fat, 0 milligrams of cholesterol, 15 milligrams of sodium, 43 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, 37 grams of sugar, 1 gram of protein, and 60% vitamin C.

FAST FOOD NEWS: Burger King Doritos Loaded

Burger King Doritos Loaded

Remember those Doritos Loaded that were sold last year at 7-Eleven? If you don’t, they were triangular-shaped snack bites with a warm, melted cheese filling and a crispy breading with Doritos Nacho Cheese flavoring. Junk Food Guy has a review.

They were an exclusive 7-Eleven product last year, but it appears that exclusivity has ended because they’ve been popping up at Burger King locations. The photo above was sent to us by Impulsive Buy reader Alek from a Burger King location in Flushing, NY.

If you’ve seen Doritos Loaded at a Burger King location near you, let us know where in the comments.
