SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 3/27/2013

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. If you’ve tried any of the products, share your thoughts about them in the comments.

Marie Callender's Breakfast Sandwiches 1

Marie Callender's Breakfast Sandwiches 2

Bread toasts in the microwave? I’ve come close to doing that on my own. I’ve toasted bread on top of a microwave. Because our toaster is on top of our microwave oven. (Spotted by Troy at Walmart.)

Keebler Pitter Patter

I could’ve sworn Keebler Pitter Patters were already covered in a previous Spotted post. I spent two minutes looking for a previous photo, but couldn’t find one. I’m sorry if this is a repost. (Spotted by Kayla at Safeway.)

Rockstar Green Apple Super Sours Energy Drink

These Rockstar Green Apple Super Sours Energy Drink cans hurt my eyes. They look as if the early 90s threw up on them. (Spotted by Marvo at Safeway.)

Snapple Peach Passionfruit Tea

Some things I miss from the 90s include: the Snapple Lady, Nirvana, and making music with dot-matrix printers. (Spotted by Marvo at Safeway.)

Good Humor Mounds Eggs Ice Cream Bars

Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don’t. Almond Joy’s got nuts, Mounds Eggs Ice Cream bars don’t. (Spotted by Paige at Walmart.)

Thank you to all the photo contributors! If you’re out shopping and see an interesting new or limited edition product on the shelf (or really unusual), snap a picture of it, and send us an email (theimpulsivebuy@gmail.com) with where you found it and “Spotted” in the subject line. If you do so, you might see your picture in our next Spotted on Shelves post.

  1. :O I hope the green apple Supersours tastes more sour than the bubblegum one. That one was the most disappointing flavor ever… I just gotta find it now.

  2. I wanna try those new Marie Callender’s breakfast sandwiches. They’re not even on their website yet.

  3. The Marie Callender’s sandwiches are going to be awesome. Marie doesn’t care about calories she wants you fat and happy.

  4. Well those Marie Callender’s breakfast sandwiches were at walmart so they should show up soon all over the country. I have to admit they look very tasty edjunkie(troy)

  5. Those Rockstar’s are much MUCH better than the bubblegum ones! They kinda taste like a Mega Warhead!

    1. Good to hear. The Bubblegum one seemed awesome until I finally tried it. It tasted like nothing. I’ll give this a try. Rockstars are on sale for $1 at my local grocery store (ridiculous, I know) but they don’t carry these new flavors.

  6. The Snapple lightly sweetened tea has been in California for almost a year now. Very good taste and uses real sugar not HFCS or artificial sweetener.

  7. i love those snapple teas. they have a cherry something or another mix in that line that i’d like to get my greedy hands on, too. but i have only ever seen it at brueggers bagels. and there is no way i am paying almost three bucks a bottle for snapple. speaking of crazy high prices for drinks, marvo, you should review suja juice. i got mine at whole foods. insanely, they are almost ten dollars for a sixteen ounce bottle. but the flavor i tried, vanilla cloud, was like dessert in a bottle! tasted kinda like horchata? or ghetto rice with sugar, cinnamon and milk/nut milk of your choice. lovely.

  8. I saw the Keebler Pitter Patters last night and noticed they were the ONLY Keebler cookie with a box shaped EXACTLY like a Girl Scout Cookie box. Not too subtle for a direct Do-Si-Do copy.
