M M s Crispy Milk Chocolate

About two weeks ago, I sent out this tweet:

I didn’t write a post about it here at The Impulsive Buy because that’s all I knew. But now I know a whole lot more thanks to the press release Mars sent out this morning. Crispy M&M’s will be re-released in January 2015, it’ll be a regular flavor, and it’ll be available in 1.35 oz., 2.83 oz. and 9.9 oz. bags.

For those who’ve never had the pleasure of eating Crispy M&M’s, they were milk chocolate M&M’s with a crispy rice center. They were originally released in 1998 and discontinued in 2005 in the U.S., but they have been available in the U.K. and Europe.

Now that Crispy M&M’s is coming back, we should all now focus our attention on asking Mars to bring back Cookies-n-Creme Twix.

  1. Why not go for full brand synergy and ask for Cookies n Creme Twix M&Ms.

(Actually Twix M&Ms might be good, someone get working on that!)

    1. Exactly! I’ve been saying they should make Twix M&Ms for years! I think Snickers M&Ms would sell well too if they could work out a good formula.

  2. If Crispy M&Ms are coming back, then I’m going to continue holding the vein hope that my beloved Hawaiian Punch gummi candies will someday return triumphant.

  3. Are these going to replace the pretzel M&Ms? If not, we’ll need a new color to represent them since they were originally represented by Orange. What colors are left? Maybe Green?

  5. What we really need now is for Mars to bring back Sour Starbursts and Baja California.

    1. Yes!!! Someone who understands the need for Sour Starbursts, I emailed the company after missing the candy so much and they said they discontinued it because they could not sell enough to make a profit. It was my favorite candy too…..

  6. I am George Michael’ing it that my S’mores cereal and Butterfinger BBs find themselves back into my face. Humph.

  7. I’m pumped about this! It’s been a long time coming. I’d also like to see the return of Strawberry Peanut Butter M&Ms and Triple Chocolate Twix. Mars should bring back some fan favorites even if it’s just for a limited time.
