FAST FOOD NEWS: McDonald’s McCafe Green Apple Smoothie

McDonald's McCafe Green Apple Smoothie

Impulsive Buy friend Brad, who has sent in a number McDonald’s products testing in the Chicago area, sent us a screenshot of a commercial that features the McCafe Green Apple Smoothie.

The new smoothie isn’t listed with the other flavors-Blueberry Pomegranate, Strawberry Banana, and Mango Pineapple-on the McDonald’s website, so it’s either a test item or a regional product. A quick Google and Twitter search shows that it’s also being sold in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and N.Y. Our friends over at Thirsty Dudes gave it a try.

If you’ve tasted the McCafe Green Apple Smoothie, let us know what you think of it in the comments.

  1. I am in Chicago and today I ordered the new Green Apple Smoothie from McDonalds. It’s not bad tasting at all. Tastes like the inside of a green apple. There’s probably some sort of fruit juice mixed in there but I can’t decipher what kind. It’s pretty refreshing though.

  2. It was sour, almost a bit too sour but hey after all it is a green apple. Glad to see that there was no weird artificial food coloring in it. Literally seems like they blended a bunch of apples together without the skin! I would order it again! -Illinois

  3. I’ve been ordering it before work every morning. Not bad! Seems to have real fruit and no artificial coloring which I hate in drinks. My co workers think I’m drinking milk. Tastes really good! Not to sweet or tart. Nice alternative from the coffee now that it’s getting warm outside.

    Peace from Chicago!!!!

  4. I don’t have the rave reviews as everyone else. The first sip was good, tasted like green apples, but after that it tasted like baby food, applesauce maybe.
Seems to me that maybe they have flavorings thst they add, and it was at the very bottom. i might try it 1 more time,…..maybe I just got a bad batch!!
