Impulsive Buy reader and Chicagoan, Brad, sent us a photo of this breakfast sandwich McDonald’s is testing. As you can see, it features the freshly cracked egg and toasted English muffin that comes with most McMuffins, but it also has a slice of white cheddar and slices of Applewood smoked bacon.
It’s surprising there currently isn’t a Bacon Egg McMuffin on the McDonald’s breakfast menu. But in other countries, like Canada, Australia, and the U.K., a Bacon & Egg McMuffin is offered.
If you’ve tried it, let us know what you think of it in the comments.

It doesn’t really matter that they don’t advertise a bacon, egg, and cheese McMuffin on the menu. They have bacon, egg, and cheese McGriddles, bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits, and bacon, egg, and cheese bagels, so it’s obvious that if you order a bacon, egg, and cheese McMuffin that they will make it for you. Lots and lots of people have ordered them. They can advertise it like it’s something new, but it’s really not and won’t affect sales.
I’ve been ordering it for years. All you gotta do is ask.
I will definitely try this and I think I’m also going to try one with sausage instead of bacon, tho I’m betting the sausage will overpower the white cheddar.
Just got the new bacon &white cheddar mcmuffin at Lemont Il and got home and no egg! 3.50 is a lot to pay for just bacon & cheese!
