SPOTTED ON SHELVES: Oreo Churros

Oreo Churros

This is the second product this year that’s made it way from under the convenience store heating lamps to grocery store frozen food aisles. The first being Doritos Loaded. (Spotted by David M at Safeway.)

  1. How sick will I get when I don’t warm these up first?

Will be interesting to see if the filling actually tastes like Oreo filling; probably will wait for your review (unless I just missed the convenience store version).

  2. Youd have to at least let them thaw out, as they come frozen. No microwave instructions either. Conventional or toaster oven only. I went to browse Oreos and someone left a box of these in the candy isle. Guess they opted for actual Oreos instead. So I got super giddy when I saw them and went looking in the frozen section for a box, snapped a picture, and purchased. I ate the entire box, tried them multiple ways. Dissecting them, rolled in the Oreo crumble, without it, just the cream, etc. The actual churro taste like Oreo. The cream, not so much. It tasted like and had the consistency of a melted marshmallow. None of that real distinct vanilla Oreo cream flavor. Though I ate the box immediately after I ate an entire large buffalo chicken pizza with fiery red pepper crust from Pizza Hut. So my taste buds may have been compromised. Definitely worth a buy to try though.

  3. I found some in hot springs but didn’t get them because they would have melted

  4. I bought them last night. First the amount of cream is TINY could hardly see it. Second make sure you have something to drink they are DRY.
