Update: We reviewed it! Click here to read our review.

Sonic’s Signature Slingers feature a new beef patty that’s made with 100 percent pure beef, seasonings, and savory mushrooms.

No, the mushrooms aren’t on top of the burger patty, they’re IN it.

There are two options that use it. The Classic Sonic Signature Slinger is topped with lettuce, tomato, diced onions, crinkle-cut dill pickles, mayo, and American cheese on a brioche bun. The second is the Bacon Melt Sonic Signature Slinger. It features bacon, melted cheese, and mayo on a brioche bun.

According to Sonic, the mushroom-enhanced patty “gives you all the flavor with none of the guilt.” The Classic Sonic Signature Slinger contains 340 calories.

The burger starts at $1.99 and is available for a limited time at participating locations.

  1. the new Sonic Slinger Burger is not worth $2 it tastes like just a cheap dollar burger I’m not impressed with it

  2. 2 bucks???….hmmmm?….best I can do is 1 dollar…tellya what I got a guy who specializes in fast food burgers so why don’t you let me give him a call and if you can just hang around for a bit I can get a better idea of what its really worth…..well after looking it over I found out that your burger has a value of 53 cents so sorry but the best I can do is 1 dollar and only because I’m hungry and there is no Wendy’s close by.

  3. The beef-mushroom patty is so thin. Combined with a total lack of seasoning, you could barely taste it. What made things worse were the tomato and lettuce. I don’t know if they tell the staff to wash them immediately before they go on the sandwich, but the burger is wet. And not a greasy wetness; this is watery. They use the same veggies on their regular burgers, and I’ve never experienced this much moisture. I guess it’s possible the patties are undercooked and the mushrooms are sweating, but you think they would have caught this in the lab.
