FAST FOOD NEWS: Burger King Crispy Tacos

FFN Burger King Crispy Tacos

Update: We tried it! Click here to read our review.

Burger King is now selling tacos nationwide. That is not typo. And, it’s selling them for $1 each. That is also not a typo.

BK’s Crispy Taco features a crunchy tortilla stuffed with seasoned beef, shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce, and a savory taco sauce. They’re similar to what Jack in the Box offers in that the whole thing is deep fried. Yes, that sounds awful and I wasn’t a fan of Jack’s tacos at first, but I have joined the cult of Jack in the Box taco fans.

The taco has 170 calories, 9 grams of fat, 3 grams of saturated fat, 0 gram of trans fat, 10 milligrams of cholesterol, 360 milligrams of sodium, 19 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of fiber, 1 gram of sugar, and 5 grams of protein.

Technically, it’s not a new product. It appears it’s been available at some West Coast locations for a while.

Burger King’s Crispy Tacos are available for a limited time. Price and participation may vary.

  1. I love these tacos. A few of the BK locations around the Chicago area have them all of the time, but I am very happy that they will be more accessible for the time being.

      1. At my location the lettuce is added after they are fried along with the Cheese

  2. This is a rip off 🙁 I work at a BK here in NorCal and yes the tacos have been on the menu for years. HOWEVER, up until this “deal” began, they used to be 2 for $1.69! Yes they are tasty and less greasy than Jack in the box but no BK, why hike up the prices?

  3. Wow… I’m a minority here so far. These are disgusting, greasy, no flavor, overcooked and half empty… Things (not really a taco). Tv commercial not even close to what you get. Over crisp deep-fried shell almost stale. A pocket of mush type filling in the very middle (no way to tell if it’s meat or not) with a smidgen of cheese in it. Maybe 3 strips of lettuce. No sauce unless you count the grease dripping down your fingers from being deep-fried. Shell is good size but only the center couple inches has anything in it. So, it’s basically overcooked crunchy no flavored shell you eat mostly. Really bad. It needs to go away rather quickly. Makes taco bell tacos look and taste so much better.

    1. you are better off going to Del Taco for a fresh shell and toppings, my BK Taco today was partially frozen on one spot! yuk!

  4. I just tried these tacos yesterday. The picture shows ground beef. What’s in them resembles runny cat shit. Worst taco I’ve ever had. Never again.

  5. Mine looked nothing like your picture. Looked like dog food paste with a few (very few) shreds of lettuce on top. Disgusting! Enjoy some of their products…this one is a real bust!!!! Not worth the $1.00.

  6. I have fond childhood memories of eating them from Jack in the Box.
I call them cat food tacos (because of the bizarre texture of the meat).
They are horrid, but I love them!
