  1. I did not like the Nashville chick’n tenders. They weren’t too spicy, but it was like eating too much black pepper + too much red pepper flakes. I guess it was the chile de árbol & the paprika that ruined the flavor ? I couldn’t even finish half a tender before throwing out the whole tray of them. I’ll stick with the plain original version.

  2. I can personally testify that the Morningstar Farms mini corn dogs and cheezeburgers are excellent. Popcorn chik’n is good, but I like their breaded chik’n patties better so I won’t be buying them again. But the cheezeburger and mini corn dogs will be staples.

The cheeze in the cheezeburger is quite tasty and not buried in the rest of it, so you can really taste it. The mini corn dogs are like their original veggie corn dogs without the allergenic ingredients for me (dairy and egg) and are of course wonderful (well, at least for corn dog fans). Just lacks the stick.

All three are the newly reformulated products on Morningstar Farms long overdue journey toward all vegan (“plant based protein”). This is wonderful for me, since I have been denied corn dogs for so long because they mucked it up with egg whites (the most allergenic part of the egg, people). Most of their products were mucked up with egg whites. They say they have veganized all their chik’n products by now, but obviously they are starting in on others. The cheezeburger seems to be the successor to the oddly named meat lover’s vegan burger, which was also excellent. This line of 1/4 lb vegan burgers is relatively new rather than a veganized version of an old product. Don’t bother with the veggie lover’s vegan burger in the line, though. Not worth the money, there are loads of better veggie burgers out there. Zero in on the cheezeburger or the old meat lover’s vegan burger if it still exists somewhere.
