FAST FOOD NEWS: Papa John’s Papadias

News PJ Papadias

Update: We tried them! Click here to read our review.

Yes, we originally covered Papa John’s Papadias back when the chain was testing them in July, but now they’re available to EVERYONE…the day after the biggest pizza ordering day of the year. Better ingredients, but not better timing, Papa John’s.

According to the pizza chain, the Papadia is inspired by the piadina, an Italian folded flatbread sandwich from Northern Italy. There are four varieties available. All are made using Papa John’s fresh, never-frozen original dough.

Italian: This Italian flatbread-style sandwich made with Alfredo sauce, spicy Italian sausage, salami, real cheese made from mozzarella, and banana peppers. Served with a Pizza sauce dipping cup.

Philly Cheesesteak: This flatbread-style sandwich comes with sliced Philly steak, fresh-cut onions and green peppers, real cheese made from mozzarella, and the chain’s Philly sauce. Served with a Garlic sauce dipping cup.

Grilled BBQ Chicken & Bacon: It’s made with grilled chicken, bacon, fresh-cut onions, and real cheese made from mozzarella. It’s drizzled with sweet and smoky BBQ Sauce. Served with a BBQ sauce dipping cup.

Meatball Pepperoni: This sandwich features spicy meatballs, pepperoni, pizza sauce, real cheese made from mozzarella, and classic Italian seasoning. Served with a Pizza sauce dipping cup.

  1. Gonna have to say the wording “real cheese made FROM mozzarella” isn’t super appetizing.

    1. I laugh at Papa John’s trying to be “original” when it’s not original at all. They just copy everyone else and do it poorly. It’ll be a long time before they are out from under the bad press of Schnatter.
