  1. Yet another new cereal I would never have been allowed to eat, as a child, had it existed back then. My parents forbade my sister and me from eating any “sugar cereals”, as they simply called them. Only when we’d spend summer weekends with my paternal grandmother, did my sis and I get to eat them…and, oh, what a treat it was! (Nana W usually got those multi-packs of mini Kellogg’s cereal: Frosted Flakes, Corn Pops, Apple Jacks, etc…mmm.)

    1. Oh my gosh, those boxes that were perforated?! I guess the idea was that you were supposed to use it as a bowl!?! hehe, we always saved the boxes to give to our mice lol.

      1. Yep! The idea, from what I recall, was that you could eat them…milk, and all…within the box. I have to admit that I don’t remember ever doing so; then again, childhood was frighteningly long ago. ?

        1. ::grrr:: Again, trying to affix emoji, when responding from my phone, only results in question marks. Booo.

        2. They had a wax lining in them and in stores they are not sold, just regular boxes now, but on Amazon they sell the wax lined boxes of course you need to make sure it’s that kind because they sell both versions.

          1. I wish you would do a commemorative original box art. If ambitious you could include a toy premium

        3. lol, I feel you! And yeah, I don’t believe that I ever utilized the box for its intended purpose.

    2. Take courage my friend… I am convinced that the very children who could not eat “sugar cereals”…. Grew up and are now responsible for bringing them to fruition…Week after week I see another cereal that I dreamed of as a kid… The only blower is that my adult palate now finds most of them to be too sweet…. lol

      1. I know, right? I swear, at this point in my life, simply reading the names of some of them set my teeth on edge. lol

    3. I hadn’t realized they stopped making the boxes that form a bowl; such a shame. My family was only allowed the sugar cereal varieties while on vacation and/or during select times during the Summer. That being said, HoneyNut Cheerios somehow made the “healthy” cut.

  2. My parents would buy occasional boxes of the sugared cereals and with four siblings, you had to be up very early if you didn’t want to be left with the Grape-nuts!

    1. 😉 I think this is why I went through a sugared cereal phase as an early adult when I was in college buying my own food lol.

  3. I really don’t see the point of this. Fruity Pebbles are so f’ing good, why would you ever want another version?

  4. Wondering if we’re ever getting the Tropical Fruity Pebbles or Stawberry Banana Fruity Pebbles that were teased back in 2019. Both concepts sounded good.

      1. Agreed, guys! Those sound wonderful; though I’m not quite sure how different the tropical ones would taste to just straight up fruity pebbles?

Oh my gosh, they should do a blueberry muffin one…
