  1. i love it when i see these posts as i’m compiling my grocery order online to be delivered and it reminds me to look for new snacks

  2. I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m quite over all of the unicorn-themed things, everywhere I look. (Well, frankly, I was never “under” them (ha); I never understood the appeal of a fake horse with a horn.)

Having said that, I’ve got to give Betty Crocker some props for the clever addition of actual unicorn-head-shaped sprinkes, rather than just the run-of-the-mill, boring, multi-colored/confetti ones. I am all about innovation and attention to detail, so I appreciated seeing that creative addition.

    1. Props to you for noticing the fancy sprinkles. I was disappointed to see this because it’s essentially just a vanilla cake with vanilla frosting. I did a double take to make sure that there was no fun filling for the middle but nope. A+ for the sprinkles but it is otherwise very, well, “vanilla”.

      1. Thanks for the props; they are always quite appreciated, by me. hehe I have what is an often-unfortunate OVER-tendency to notice details; it does, sometimes, come in handy, however. 😉

As far as the “vanilla-ness” of the product, otherwise…well, even as a kid (when most love anything just, well, sugary)…I never cared for vanilla cake, vanilla frosting, etc. I still do not. At all.

        1. Wait until you have REAL vanilla! It can be well done and highlighted. That artificial stuff can gtfo. Hehe. Vanilla has a time and a place; ie. NOT IN EVERY D*MN THING!

    2. OH MY GOSH! When people say “I’m so over that” etc. I always reply “I was never under it!”

    3. I’ll always be extremely pissed off that unicorns aren’t real. I don’t get the unicorn trend, either. Since they’re not real, at least.

        1. Yes, and I’ll always be really f’ing pissed off that they’re not real, as well, especially dragons.

  3. I will be looking for Dove Deeper Dark Chocolate Promises. I use their regular dark to make my chocolate chip cookies and those are really good.

    1. They also have dove 82 and as a dark chocolate lover they are very good! I’ve never tried them in cookies but I’ll have to give it a try.

      1. Really? I think Hershey’s blows them out of the water. Nah, I’m just kidding. 😀 I’ve never had Dove chocolate, and Hershey’s chocolate sucks ass, unless it’s in a s’more, and I’m way too fond of their cookies and cream bar.

        1. Phew *wipes sweat off of forehead.* lol, we were about to just have a fisticuffs!

Personally speaking, I’m not a fan of traditional s’mores, they eat too messy for me, though I do adore the flavour combo. And yes…aaaahhh the cookies and cream bar. I do also enjoy the “hugs” and don’t care for kisses unless they are the ones with creme/meltaway centers.

You should give Dove Promises a shot! And the dark varieties, at least for me, are perfectly portion for just a couple to fulfill a chocolate craving.

I’m a tad spoiled as I am of British descent so grew up on Cadbury’s *swoon.* And now, working in the food industry, I know my way around chocolate and don’t really care for many of the mass marketed chocolates out there. I hope that doesn’t sound snobby, as I am not. Judge me if you please.

          1. Nope doesn’t sound snobby at all. 🙂 Cadbury sucks now, though, unfortunately, since they were sold. I had the Rocky Road bar that they sell in Australia a few years before Cadbury was sold, and it was SO DAMN GOOD!!!!! Then I bought six of them this year, and they sucked ass in comparison!!!!! I could have cried! Bastards!!!!! It’s nice to see someone else of English descent, although I am only a little bit. I’ve always called myself a mutt because I am of Irish, Scottish, French, German, and English descent. 😀
