Update: We tried it! Click here to read our review.

I feel as if in the 80s or 90s there was a product similar to this from one of the big cereal brands. I didn’t find anything via Google, so it must be that Kellogg’s ripped it out from my dreams much like Law & Order writers rip out storylines from headlines. (Spotted by Robbie at Walmart.)

  1. Granted I don’t like milk in my cereal but this sounds more like astronaut food. It’s a good idea for people on the go but seems weird still.

  2. In the 90s Kellogg’s had a thing called breakfast mates. They were kits with a single serve cereal, milk and a spoon.

  3. While, at first blush, I completely agree that this product seems a bit unusual (I won’t lie: that was also my very first thought), the more I think about it, the more I think it definitely fills a need. (1) It’s quick and convenient, including for those on-the-go; (2) not everyone has milk on-hand, at any given point in time; and (3) not everyone can afford milk, to be fair (especially with the inflated costs of everything, these days!).

    So, yeah…just saying…

    1. Can’t afford milk yet can afford these for breakfast everyday? I think the cost of a gallon of milk + box of cereal is cheaper than buying multiples of these.

      1. Yeah…if someone can’t afford milk then they really ought to exam what they’re spending all of their money on and how they’re spending it in the grocery store…

  4. Seems like it might have a place camping, where refrigerated milk isn’t an option, or maybe for disaster aid
