SPOTTED: Lay’s Crunch Tators Extra Crunchy Potato Chips

Lay s Mighty Mesquite Crunch Tators Extra Crunchy Potato Chips

These make me wish all potato chips were called crunch tators — it’s such a better name. Oh, um, from what I read, Crunch Tators were available in the 80s and 90s, and they were pretty much what we consider kettle cooked potato chips today. So if you want Lay’s Kettle Cooked Potato Chips in retro bags, which Frito-Lay seems to love nowadays, here you go. (Spotted by @TheJoshCatlett at Dollar General.)

    1. No no no you don’t understand.. These are theeee kettle chips. Bbq flavor is unmatched! At least, I hope they are the same flavor.

      1. I don’t like bbq, sorry, but I’d love to try the regular. So far, no luck. Rats. I hope you find and like the bbq.

      2. I’m eating some right now, and they are better than I remember. I had just seen the bag on the movie Home Alone, and I was like OMG it would be so good to try those again. And they were at the store. Its definitely a unique BBQ flavor.

        1. I’ve looked at each store that has snacky things near me, including Walgreens, more than once.. Nope. Darn it!

  1. I would love wrap my lips around the Jalapeño Crunch Tators again. They were amazing from what I remember and are NOT the same as Kettle chips today. If you know, you know.
